Oh how we love you Mulberry, let us count the ways. It's exciting to find out that model of the moment, Cara Delevingne is the newest face of the label, starring in the ad campaign for the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection. Set in Shotover House in Oxfordshire, England, the theme of the shoot was a romantic woodland scene inside of an old manor. Using real owls and trees in the photos, what actually steals the show are the newest versions of the Bayswater Double Zip Tote along with the Willow, the new Primrose design and of course the clothing and other accessories showcased in oxblood, navy, taupe and emerald colours.
Although Mulberry released official images today, the excited 20-year old model, gave us all a little sneak peek on Instagram yesterday. Cara isn't new to the brand, she walked in their February runway show and has said that she's always been a fan. Join the club CD! Emma Hill, Creative Director for Mulberry, who incidentally has just announced that she is leaving the iconic brand said in a press release,
"The A/W 2013 collection was inspired by the English countryside and cosy, familiar rural scenes but with a dark, mysterious and seductive veil. Traditional fables, botanical prints and the earthiness of the countryside by night all played their part, and this sense of dark beauty was beautifully captured by Tim and Ronnie for the campaign. After closing our London Fashion Week show, Cara was the first name in my mind for this season, she’s beautiful, bold and British!"
