Everybody loves Rachel Bilson, I think we all imagine her to be exactly like her character Summer on the O.C. These days, she is equally famous for her amazing wardrobe and her acting capabilities and she is regularly amongst the best dressed. It's no surprise then that she is teaming up with DKNY to create a line of jeans. Bilson spoke to WWD,
"This is something that I have been interested in doing for such a long time. I was just waiting for the perfect opportunity for it to be done right."
The collection is due to be released in September and will be called Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans although will not solely consists of jeans. There will also be button-down tops, sweaters, jackets, T-shirts, and dresses.

Despite no previous fashion design training Bilson is eager to learn. She confesses that she cannot draw but is, "learning to sew. I think it's important to know more about the whole process of making clothes." Bilson is also desperate to move away from the tag of celebrity collaboration hence naming the line Edie Rose.
"I want people to see these clothes for what they are, not just another line designed by another celebrity. I want the line to be taken seriously."
Bilson thought it was important to keep the clothing at an accessible price so they will range from $19.50 and $49.50 per piece at wholesale, which is in line with the DKNY Jeans range. She added,
"You don't have to spend a lot to get a great look."
