The credit crunch seems to be taking hold of every aspect at the moment and now is the turn of Haute Couture. The current financial climate has had an impact on the catwalks of Paris where designers are creating much more wearable lines. Yesterday, Italian designer Riccardo Tisci presented his collection for Givenchy.
The pieces played with dimension producing a new, angular silhouette. Like the Dior show it nodded at key trends for next year including lace, mixed texture and draped fabric.
The colour palette was limited using dark shades and white. Volume was introduced through draped fabric, padding and flared boots. See below for images of the collection.
