Knee Skimming Dresses at Critics Choice Awards 2009

Trend Alert: Knee Skimming Dresses

Last night the 2009 Critics Choice Awards took place in Los Angeles celebrating the stars of the silver screen. Many of Hollywood's biggest names got dressed up and hit the red carpet. One of the most emerging trends that I've noticed (beyond credit crunch supporting floor sweeping gowns) is the knee skimming dress.

From Kristin Scott Thomas in Yves Saint Laurent to Anne Hathaway in Gianfranco Ferré the red carpet was awash with modestly dressed ladies. Eva Longoria and Amy Adams joined the trend revealing just the right amount of flesh around the clavicles and calves. What do you think of this elegant style?

There is no way that, that is really a picture of you skyslang! You look like a meat head, not flattering at all!

I think it makes most women look short and a little dumpy. Not a fan. Just above the knee is much more flattering.
