There are only a few weeks to go until another round of catwalk shows kick off in the capital as designers get ready to present their Autumn '10 collections. London Fashion Week has grown in size over the past few seasons with big names like Burberry and Matthew Williamson showing on home turf. BellaSugar UK and I will of course be heading to Somerset House to bring you all of the latest news, but this season there is another way for you to stay updated.
Last season, designers like Burberry Prorsum and Alexander McQueen decided to live stream their shows directly on to the internet giving you a front row seat, and now even more names are set to follow suit. LFW have just announced plans for a digital schedule which will stream fashion shows and a "selection of digitally presented fashion films".
All designer showing in the official catwalk space at Somerset House will be offered the chance to get involved. CEO of the British Fashion Council Caroline Rush commented “This is a significant step in developing our digital strategy. Enhancing designers’ experience and reach through London Fashion Week is an important area of development for the future.”
