Online retail giant Net-a-Porter have just announced plans to add a menswear site to their empire. The boutique launched it's discount sister site The Outnet last year and will now launch Mr Porter. It's been 10 years since Natalie Massenet announced her plans for Net-a-Porter so it's the perfect time to add a new dimension. Mr Porter will launch in time for Spring 2011 and is expected to go live in January 2011.
Brands that have already agreed to be involved include Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin, YSL, Margiela, Balmain, Dunhill, and Margaret Howell. Massenet commented, "We have always said that Net-a-Porter will remain a woman’s brand and now we are ready to create a dedicated men’s shopping destination entirely conceived with the stylish man in mind. We have a ready-made customer base for our men’s business." Are you excited for these plans?
