Stella McCartney at National Resources Defence Council of America benefit

Love it or Hate it? Stella McCartney at Forces For Nature Benefit

Last night Stella McCartney was awarded at the National Resources Defence Council of America benefit for her continual refusal to use animal products in her clothing range. The designer was supported at the event by her father and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell. Last week Stella explained the global impact of using leather and fur explaining, "I believe very much in the connection between fur and leather and the environment. There's a huge connection. Now, I think more and more people will start to take notice of that — the use of water for tanneries, the chemicals that are used — there's a huge impact environmentally."

She attended the benefit last night in her own designs including a pair of laser cut thigh high boots which appeared as part of her Autumn '09 line. What do you think of her ensemble?

like how tough looking the boots are, but how feminine and floaty the dress is. Nice contrast!
