Topshop's collaborations are coming thick and fast, with its collection with Reclaim To Wear launching today. Orsola de Castro and Filippo Ricci's eco fashion label has teamed up with the high street brand to create a debut upcycled capsule range made from discarded materials, like production off-cuts and surplus stock. The eight pieces are made from Topshop's staple materials of jersey, cotton and denim, and feature a tiered blouse in mixed fabrics, a colour block panel maxi dress, grey marl sweater with mismatching sleeves and a trio of ombre denim pieces including boy shorts, faded jeans and a slouchy rucksack. Orsola said:
"This is the first step towards the creation of zero waste design collections. I trust that the Topshop team’s commitment to new sustainable solutions will lead to the reconsidering of consumption versus disposal throughout the whole fashion industry supply chain."
Topshop hopes to scale the project and apply what it's learnt across a broader section of the supply chain next time. Take a look here, and tell me which is your favourite piece!
