Umbrella for Winter 2009, UK Shopping

Trend Alert: Frill Umbrella

New Look at ShopStyle

If there's one thing us Brits are experts on, it's rain. November was the wettest month on record, which probably meant that your umbrella was your most used accessory! Dressing for wet days, isn't easy, but having a stylish umbrella that you love certainly helps.

I have noticed a growing trend for pretty umbrellas with a slight frill edging. The finish gives an almost parasol style. See below for some fun brollies available now which will see you through 'til April showers.

I also end up leaving them behind, but maybe if I bought one of these beauties I'd remember it. Love the ditsy floral one!

I agree that a strong umbrella is hard to find. I am also reluctant to spend a lot as I am prone to leaving it on the tube, in the pub, at a friend's house...

I do love nice umbrellas - the topshop one shown here is to die for :) I saw a gorgeous frill one the other day in a store on Columbia Rd - London but couldn't justify £25 on a brolly.... These prices are more reasonable, but unless it's a big golf brolly, I'm yet to find one that doesn't blow inside out :( I also don't like ones that don't really fold up enough as they're a pain to carry round and you have a big wet appendage down the side of your leg :(

love umbrellas, but find it hard to find one that lasts more than 6 months without breaking a wing. would be great if you could suggest some brolly's with a good shelf life when it's windy!
