Vanity Fair and Gucci hosted a glamorous bash at the Hotel Du Cap during the Cannes Film Festival in France on Satruday. Naomi Watts stepped out for the affair after partying at Calvin Klein's fete on Thursday with Diane Kruger and Jessica Chastain. Jennifer Connelly, in a black Gucci dress, and husband Paul Bettany showed up following a red-carpet appearance for Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted during the day. Alec Baldwin and fiancée Hilaria Thomas joined in on the fun, as did Chris Pine and his girlfriend, Dominique Piek. Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault were back in the spotlight following their own red-carpet run that afternoon, and Ed Westwick made a statement in black tie. The Tribeca Film Festival brought out some big names this weekend, starting with Kristen Wiig on Saturday when she celebrated Revenge for Jolly. On Sunday Michelle Williams joined Sarah Silverman and friends at an event for the festival. Michelle also stepped out for boyfriend Jason Segel's Five Year Engagement premiere which kicked off Tribeca, though she was careful not to be photographed at the event. James Franco celebrated his own latest project Francophrenia while Olivia Wilde tended to the Help Wanted shorts program. Among the other celebrity attendees, Abbie Cornish was at The Girl screening.

The evening out marked Jennifer's first red-carpet appearance since giving birth to her daughter Agnes in late May. The actress looked chic and sexy in a peek-a-boo top at the party, where she told reporters she had a midwife assist with a homebirth this time around. She even said the experience prompted her to be a part of last night's charitable event and the Every Woman, Every Child initiative, which helps mothers around the world receive better access to health care. Agnes is Jennifer's third child and her second with husband Paul Bettany. She and Paul have a 7-year-old son, Stellan, and Jennifer also has a 13-year-old boy, Kai, with her ex David Dugan.

She's out and about chatting up her new film The Dilemma, in which she stars opposite Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Channing Tatum, and Winona Ryder. Jennifer also had some personal business to discuss, since she and husband Paul Bettany are expecting another child! She opened up to Dave about the pregnancy, saying, "The first three months were sketchy, very sketchy — like, cell phone service sketchy. You know you have your cell phone service and you have to stand in one spot? I have to stand in one spot in my apartment to make a phone call. It was like that with nausea. I had to stand in one spot, which happened to be in front of my refrigerator, which was open with me dipping pretzels in cream cheese and stuffing them in my mouth." Her husband Paul, meanwhile, just wrapped up promoting The Tourist, and we'll see if he and Jennifer head west to support his movie at the Golden Globes.
