Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone joined forces last night for LA's premiere of their film Gangster Squad. It's the second time the costars — who also appeared in 2011's Crazy, Stupid, Love together — have played love interests on the big screen. When we asked Emma tonight what she has in mind for her third film with Ryan, she joked, "Why? Do you have a script?"

Emma walked the red carpet solo in a red look and dramatic necklace from Lanvin, but Ryan had a special woman by his side for the debut: his mother, Donna. Ryan has been dating his The Place Beyond the Pines costar Eva Mendes since shooting the film together last year. We also caught a glimpse of Sean Penn, who plays real-life gangster Mickey Cohen in the film, making a low-key arrival at the premiere. Emma and her costars might have a late night on the town tonight celebrating their new project, but she has an early morning ahead of her later this week. Emma will join forces with Oscar host Seth MacFarlane to announce the 2013 Academy Award nominees bright and early on Thursday.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art brought out a host of stars for its annual Art and Film Gala on Saturday night. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux mingled with friends Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz at the event — it was actually Drew's first post-baby night out! Salma Hayek and Kerry Washington also made appearances.

Robert Pattinson suited up for the night out after returning to the West Coast from his Australian Breaking Dawn Part 2 press tour. He posed with Cameron, who made her latest red carpet run following her appearance at the opening of Rag & Bone's new LA store on Friday. Amy Adams met up with Tom Hanks, while Minka Kelly and her boyfriend Chris Evans posed separately on their way into the bash, which honored Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick. Florence Welch performed, and Evan Rachel Wood also took the microphone during the star-studded evening.

Sean Penn presented the Trophee Chopard awards to rising stars Shailene Woodley and Ezra Miller at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France, today. The two were being recognized for their acting work, her most recently for The Descendants and him for his role in We Need to Talk About Kevin, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year. Sean is also in town for his charitable endeavors. He is hosting a press conference about his time in Haiti this afternoon and will be throwing a big philanthropic gala event this evening. Shailene has been taking advantage of her time in Cannes as well, popping up at the star-studded Calvin Klein bash alongside Diane Kruger, Jada Pinkett Smith, Naomi Watts, and more. Ezra got to show some support for his Kevin costar Tilda Swinton as well — we spotted him at the Moonrise Kingdom afterparty on Wednesday.

Sandra Bullock wore a sequined All Saints mini to attend last night's amfAR Inspiration Gala at LA's Chateau Marmont. She was joined on the black carpet by industry friends like her agent, Kevin Huvane. She shared space on the photo line with other leading ladies like Selma Blair and Garcelle Beauvais, and once inside, mingled with pals like Sean Penn and Colin Farrell, who brought his sister Claudine Farrell as his date. Kevin Huvane bought a Warhol painting for Sandra's son Louis during the evening's auction portion. Sandra joked about Kevin's buying Warhol's "Peaches" print for $14,000 while onstage addressing the crowd and paying tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. Sandra said, "I want to thank Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd for not being cheap f-cks and gifting my son with his first Warhol."

Sandra's back on the West Coast following a recent stay in NYC, where she joined best bud Ryan Reynolds to celebrate his 35th birthday. Ryan Reynolds brought girlfriend Blake Lively along for the bash at the club The Box, but the couple have now also left the Big Apple. Blake and Ryan are in Boston together, so he can continue working on R.I.P.D. with Jeff Bridges.

Gavin and Gwen were together last night, though, for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS fundraiser along with Kanye West, Bar Refaeli, and other stars. Sean was also by himself for today's unveiling of the film, without girlfriend Scarlett Johansson. Gwen's cycled through a collection of gorgeous gowns and dramatic outfits during her time on the French Riviera, but her trip hasn't been a completely formal affair — Gwen wore a bikini while enjoying the sun on a yacht with Gavin, Zuma, and Kingston this week.

Ryan Gosling popped up at his first Cannes event this evening looking dapper in Salvatore Ferragamo for the Cinema For Peace inaugural dinner honoring Sean Penn for his charitable efforts in Haiti. Leonardo DiCaprio and rumored flame Blake Lively took a break from lounging so he could stop by to say a few words while Robert De Niro, Naomi Campbell, and Uma Thurman sat in the audience. Ryan's arrival in France is later than most of the star-studded crowd as his upcoming flick Drive, costarring Carey Mulligan, is closing out the film festival. Carey debuted newly dyed brown hair this week in preparation for her next role starring opposite Leonardo in The Great Gatsby. The cast of the Baz Luhrmann remake of the classic is close to complete with Joel Edgerton now playing Tom Buchanan after Ben Affleck reportedly passed on the role last month. Carey's not the only link between Leo and Ryan, as Ryan was also momentarily romantically tied to Blake last Fall.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were the center of attention at The Tree of Life premiere tonight during the Cannes Film Festival, and there were plenty of other stars on hand to join them on the red carpet. Jude Law, who is one of the jurors at this year's film festival, joined Brad's costar Jessica Chastain, in addition to Rob Lowe, Zoe Saldana, Gwen Stefani, and Gavin Rossdale. Gwen and Gavin joined in on the fun in France following a week in his native Britain, and they wasted no time throwing on bikinis and going shirtless to enjoy the Mediterranean over the weekend. Sean Penn shares the screen with Brad and Jessica, and he joined them for today's event as well. Sean's girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson, didn't walk the press line, however. Brad's big evening caps off an exciting week for the Jolie-Pitts. Angelina made the rounds last week to chat up and debut her Kung Fu Panda 2, also making the exciting announcement that her directorial debut will be called In the Land of Blood and Honey and will hit theaters on Dec. 23.

Tree of Life, the Terrence Malik drama starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, has been in limbo for the last couple of years, but today it's finally seeing the light of day. The first trailer for the film is heavy, ominous, and has just a hint of magic. Set in the 1950s, we follow the upbringing of three boys as their parents (Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain) commit themselves to teaching their sons the truths of the world. Though his wife warns him that he's being too hard on them, Pitt's character can't help but leave a lasting impression on his kids, particularly Jack.

Fast forward 40 some-odd years, and we see a forlorn-looking Jack (Sean Penn) reflecting on his childhood and pondering life's more difficult questions. I'm feeling kind of ambivalent about this one: it looks like it could be incredibly powerful or kind of a snoozefest. The film's release is set for May 2011, but watch the preview when you read more

The Hollywood Awards were a star studded affair last night, with lots of celebs walking the red carpet and being honoured at the ceremony. Carey Mulligan is back in the US after her time at the London Film Festival and took time out from filming Drive to join Andrew Garfield on stage, looking gorgeous in a red dress. Andrew, Rashida Jones and their The Social Network costars won best ensemble award, while Leighton Meester wore a pale blue Elie Saab dress to pick up the spotlight award.

Mila Kunis has been promoting Black Swan at the LFF with costar Vincent Cassel, but is back in LA now and looked hot at last night's awards in her LBD. Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger presented Sylvester Stallone's career achievement award, and had fun in the press room afterwards. James Franco enjoyed a casual night out earlier this week with Danny Boyle, but last night he was suited up for the ceremony, while Justin Timberlake left early to support Jessica Biel at the Glamour Reel Moments event.
