Olympics fever is still sweeping the nation, despite the fact the games ended a week ago now, and our admirable medal-winners are rightfully being spotted showing off their medals all over the place. On Saturday several Olympians – including sailing champions Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson – attended a bash celebrating National Lottery funded projects, along with famous faces like the dashing Gethin Jones and Olympic Party performers McFly. I have a feeling the Olympic spirit will continue right through until London hosts it in 2012 – it's going to be fantastic!

- David Duchovny has checked into rehab to get treatment for sex addiction. His rep released a statement from Duchovny saying, "I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

Sunday saw a huge crowd and lots of celebrities descend upon The Mall for the London 2012 Olympic Handover Party, following the closing ceremony in Beijing. David Beckham and Leona Lewis represented Britain in Beijing — what did you think of Leona's performance? — while singers took to the stage in London to entertain the crowd.

McFly have been announced to play the massive Olympic Handover party that will take place in London at the same time as the Beijing Olympic Closing Ceremony on August 24th. Other acts playing the concert near Buckingham Palace include Will Young, Scouting For Girls, The Feeling, and James Morrison. Tom, Harry, Dougie and Danny also played Pop In The Park in Cheshire on Saturday and got some teenage hormones a-jumping with some tracks from Radio:ACTIVE and some older hits too.

The stars arrived looking glam last night, and they were all there to see who would receive the statuettes at the Primetime Emmy Awards! 30 Rock and Mad Men were both big winners last night, taking the top Comedy Series and Drama Series trophies. Kristin Chenoweth was thrilled and tearful as she took to the podium to accept her Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy award for Pushing Daisies while Toni Collette won Best Actress in a Comedy for her amazing turn in The United States Of Tara.
