Paris Fashion Week has now come to a close and I'm seeing some core beauty trends. All over the catwalks and red carpet this season, similar themes have been emerging, whether it's a lined Cat's eye here, or a retro updo there. Check out my slideshow to get ahead on the latest beauty news.
2010 Autumn New York: Proenza Schouler
The Proenza Schouler show is definitely one of my highlights of New York Fashion Week. The design duo did not disappoint for Autumn 2010 as they presented their graffiti covered collection. Waist lines were high, particularly the jeans which are a collaboration with J Brand. Elsewhere, there were a lot of greens and blues with super short mini skirts teamed with stockings. They played with dimension as the line included trapeze and bubble shapes all teamed with chunky platforms.

Trend Alert: Red Lips for Winter
Pucker up baby! If the New York Fashion Week runways are anything to go by, its all about lips for Winter 2010. The shows have been packed with popping red lip shades from bright cherry at Donna Karan, to deep merlot at Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. Even Agyness Deyn has got in on the act, sporting a swipe of deep red for the G Star Presentation. The look is best worn with pale skin and low key eye makeup. Check out the latest catwalk lipstick trend here!
Stars Brave the New York Snow For More Fashion!
Mad Men star Christina Hendricks braved the New York snow under her umbrella as she made her way to the front row for Fashion Week. Brits Peaches Geldof, Daisy Lowe and Agyness Deyn were also spotted out yesterday, embracing the Autumn fashions in black. Liv Tyler chatted to Agy in the front row wearing bold bright blue tights, while Gossip Girl actor Matthew Settle was also seen at Bryant Park despite sad news that he's split with his wife.
Kelly Osbourne chatted to Mena Suvari at G-Star, while Kristen Dunst and Jason Schwartzman sat together at Rodarte. Victoria Beckham, Pete Wentz and Nicole Richie showed off their own designs, and other celebs at the shows included Chloe Sevigny, Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Toby Kebbell, Robert Buckley, Natasha Bedingfield, John Legend and Estelle!

2010 Autumn New York Fashion Week: Rodarte
The Mulleavy sisters presented their Autumn line at New York Fashion Week yesterday as the Rodarte collection was unveiled. The two have begun to shape a signature style for the brand which is ever developing and this season saw them taking a step outside of the their typically grunge styling. For Autumn, there was a much more feminine feel to their designs with pastel tones, and softer fabrics. There were definite romantic sentiments to the pieces which, according to Laura Mulleavy, were influenced by Juarez, Mexico, border towns and “the idea of sleepwalking and existing between worlds.” One of my favourite elements of the collection were the heels which glowed like candles. What do you think of the latest Rodarte line?

Alexa's Among the Brits and Big Names at NYFW
Alexa Chung showed off her debut collection for Madewell yesterday at New York Fashion Week, inviting her best buddies Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe along and hanging out with the celebs that showed, like Ugly Betty's Mark Indelicato. Also at the shows yesterday were Demi Moore, Susan Sarandon and Brooke Shields, who nattered in the front row, Sophia Bush, Shiri Appleby and Melissa George, who also all sat together, and at Jill Stuart the front row was filled with Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr and Michelle Trachtenberg, Roxy Olin and Anna-Lynne McCord. Sarah Jessica Parker looked gorgeous in gold, while Kristen Bell put on a hat to keep herself warm. Hunky Robert Buckley was also at Bryant Park for the shows, as was Kelly Osbourne, who hung out with her buddies!

Trend Alert: The Slicky Bun
Not quite as high as a beehive, yet more elaborate than a traditional bun, stars like Mena Suvari, Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham (from her stint as guest judge on American Idol), take their hair to new heights slicking it all up in the top of their heads and creating intricate loopdy-loops. It looks as though the fashion world is also getting a head start on this new trend, as we see it hot off the runway from the Venexiana show at New York Fashion Week. This easy to achieve style is a terrific option when its raining, humid or you just want to keep your hair out of your face. What are your thoughts on the sexy, slicky bun?

2010 Autumn New York Fashion Week: Marc Jacobs
After reportedly recruiting models from the street and turning attention away from celebrities in the front row, Marc Jacobs presented his Autumn collection in New York yesterday. The designer looked smart for the show in a suit which reflected the feeling of the whole line. Jacobs went for a more sophisticated look than we've seen in previous years with '50s influences. Hemlines were knee or full length as the maxi cemented it's return to la mode.

Jacobs commented after the show, "It's refreshing to see something that isn't trying so hard to be new. There's so much striving for newness now that newness feels less new." There were still typical touches by the designer including trompe l'oeil bows, lingerie layers, clear plastic trench coats and knit dresses. Although this collection didn't see Jacobs pushing boundaries, the attention was firmly on the clothes and they showed his commercial awareness as well as skill. What do you think of the Autumn line?

While Alexander McQueen's death at the end of last week cast a shadow over the shows, there was little time to pause as celebs flew to New York to see top designers showcase their latest looks for next season.
