Ian Somerhalder Talks About The Vampire Diaries' Season Three and Says There's "A Lot of Me in Damon"
Vampires took over Comic-Con this year, and one of the biggest bloodsucker attractions was the CW's series The Vampire Diaries. We checked out the panel and also had caught up with Ian Somerhalder, who plays so-bad-he's-good vampire Damon. Somerhalder talked about where Damon's head will be when season three comes back, and what his relationship with Elena will be like.

Is Damon going to change after his near-death kiss with Elena?
Ian Somerhalder: Probably not. People keep talking about this steamy kiss, and I don't know if anyone was paying attention, but Damon was pale, bleeding, and sweating profusely. So I'm not exactly sure how passionate it was, but he definitely remembers it. And I think that ultimately, he's pretty pissed off. For two seasons, he tried to get his brother to be what he wanted him to be, to just eat and destroy everything in their paths, which would have been fun . . . to sort of be who he really is. So he tried that for two seasons, [and] now Stefan's running around with Klaus — a dude that Damon absolutely hates [because] he tried to kill him — doing all those fun things he was trying to get his brother to do. And now not only that, Damon's stuck in Mystic Falls with this girl that he loves [who's] 150 years younger than he is, who a) doesn't want him and b) it's his brother's girl, so he ultimately can't just do that. I think he's really not happy with the way things have turned out.
How will he behave with Stefan gone?
IS: I think he's going to rise to the occasion, and I think he's going to have fun doing whatever it is. I mean, this is the guy that, whether he's ripping someone's head off or saving a kitten, he has the exact same grin on his face. He feels the same way about either one of those things. It's the thing that we were doing in season one, which is that push-pull, you know. It's like the alcoholic in the bar, how difficult that is. These guys are natural killers, that's what they do. If you put a mouse or a cricket in front of a kitten or cat, they're not going to just watch it, they're going to play with it. It's built in to the framework of their being. I think that push-pull is really what makes dynamic storytelling. Stefan has that push-pull with Klaus. He tried to save his brother, yet ultimately he's compelled and he's going along with the whole thing. Damon has the push-pull of wanting to destroy everything in his path and needing to protect this girl that he loves, and Elena has the push-pull of many things, poor thing — she's being pulled from every limb. But she gets something from Damon that she doesn't get from Stefan. They laugh, they throttle each other, they bicker. There's actually a line in the next episode where Alaric even says, "What are you guys, 12?" Because they have this kind of cute banter thing happening, and I think it's cool. We're going to start seeing these different sides to these different characters, but if people are expecting Damon to be this wearing-his-heart-on-his-sleeve hero character — ain't happening.

Kristen Stewart Shares the First Images of Her Snow White Character at Comic-Con
Kristen Stewart was back at Comic-Con in San Diego today sitting on her second discussion panel of the week. On Thursday she joined Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and the Breaking Dawn Part I cast to share new details about the highly anticipated wedding and honeymoon scenes, as well as what it was like giving birth to a vampire baby. Today, however, Kristen was excited to talk about a new project, Snow White and the Huntsman. She was joined by costars Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, and director Rupert Sanders, who surprised the crowd by debuting the first images of Kristen and the rest of the cast in their Snow White and the Huntsman costumes. Kristen, who plays Snow White, wields a shield and full suit of armor in the promotional photos opposite Charlize, who poses as the Wicked Queen in a dark and haunting portrait. Chris is back in full battle gear for his role as the Huntsman, though this time he's been given an ax as protection instead of the mighty hammer he carried in Thor. During today's panel Charlize jokingly challenged Kristen to a fight, saying, "I'm ready for it, b*tch, let's go." Kristen in turn said she's eager to work with "really cool weapons" in addition to doing "sword stuff."
Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde Ride Into Comic-Con With Their Cowboys and Aliens
Harrison Ford stepped out with his lovely wife, Calista Flockhart, for last night's San Diego premiere of Cowboys and Aliens. Newlywed Daniel Craig arrived solo as did his stunning costar Olivia Wilde in a floor-length, lace Dolce & Gabbana gown. Their sci-fi Western was a big draw at WonderCon this Spring, and it's no surprise director Jon Favreau picked Comic-Con as the perfect location for the film's world premiere. Thousands of fans turned out for the screening including a few Hollywood stars like Ron Howard, Nina Dobrev, and Seth Green. The red carpet affair caps off an exciting week for Daniel. His live-action animated project The Adventures of Tintin earned tons of buzz during a Comic-Con panel while another one of his projects, Dream House, released its first full-length trailer. The haunting thriller brought Daniel and Rachel Weisz together, but we'll have to wait until the Sept. 30 release to see if their real-life chemistry translates to the big screen.
Twilight's Julia Jones Talks Being a Female Werewolf and Her Breaking Dawn Memories
The Twilight cast hit Comic-Con to talk about Breaking Dawn part one, and I had a few minutes to chat with Julia Jones, who plays Leah Clearwater, the lone werewolf girl in the wolf pack. Jones chatted about her role in the film and her emotional scenes with Taylor Lautner, as well as getting to check out the big Breaking Dawn wedding.
BuzzSugar: What are we seeing from Leah in Breaking Dawn?
Julia Jones: All my scenes are with Jacob [and] that was such a treat because they're very intimate scenes, and pretty much until this point all our scenes were like, wolf pack scenes: all of us, running around and saying a few lines and doing a lot of "business." So to actually get to have these scenes that go somewhere, where you care so much about your character because you've been living her for so long, and to really get into what happens with both of them, is rewarding. I'm excited to see how that plays out.
Buzz: What is Leah and Jacob's relationship like in this film?
JJ: I have spent a bunch of time since this started trying to wrap my head around their relationship, because I don't think I have a relationship that's quite like it. I guess the closest thing is like family — the way that they drive each other mad and the way that they're so close mentally, but also emotionally. I think because of his situation with Bella and Leah's situation with Sam, it creates a bond that maybe isn't possible in the human world, because you can't read each other's thoughts.

Kristen Stewart Shows Off Snow White and the Hunstman at Comic-Con — and We Get to See Her in Full Armor!
Kristen Stewart pulled double duty at this year's Comic-Con by showing up to promote both Breaking Dawn and her next project after the Twilight series, Snow White and the Huntsman. She, her castmates Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, and Sam Claflin, plus director Rupert Sanders, took to the stage to talk about their 2012 re-imagining of the fairy tale. Producer Joe Roth promised the crowd that their take on Snow White will be a "tough, rough, active male/female picture" that's "on the scale of Lord of the Rings." While there was no footage from the film to show off yet, we did get to see images of the cast in costume and hear more about the ambitious project, including why Stewart was picked to play the fairest of them all.
- The images were dark, gritty, and definitely not traditional. Claflin and Hemsworth looked like rugged soldiers in their costumes, Theron still had her blond hair but looked fierce with a high collar, clutching a scary-looking dagger. There was one picture of the dwarves, who are played by regular-sized actors like Nick Frost and Ray Winstone and made to look dwarf-szied (and there were eight — Sanders slipped that one dies in the film). The final reveal was Kristen Stewart as Snow White, and does she ever look hard-core: she's in full armor with a shield and disheveled hair. This is definitely no bedtime story.
- Stewart said she liked the idea of playing Snow White because the character "doesn't let her heart cloud her mind and get in the way" of doing what she needs to do, and called her "the people's leader." Plus, it sounds like she's pumped to take on the apparently action-heavy flick — she cited "sword stuff" and "really cool weapons" as other reasons she was excited about the movie.

True Blood's Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Make a Dangerously Sexy Pair at Comic-Con
Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin headed south to San Diego yesterday for Comic-Con's True Blood panel. Anna Paquin wore red Antonio Berardi, looking hot next to her husband. The cast had a strong showing with Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Kevin Alejandro, Nelsan Ellis, Kristin Bauer, Deborah Ann Woll, and creator Alan Ball joining in for the discussion. A few spoilers were revealed during the fan chat — Buzz has a full rundown of the True Blood at Comic-Con Q & A — like the mystery behind Alexander's "dorky outfits" this season and whether we'll see how Eric turned Pam into a vampire. Fans of the program's shirtless scenes are in store for a treat as it was also revealed Eric and Sookie will soon share a shower scene which, of course, requires Alexander to once again show off his abs!
Comic-Con Couple Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone Share New Details About Their Incredible Spider-Man
Andrew Garfield got into the spirit of Comic-Con yesterday and arrived at the The Amazing Spider-Man discussion panel dressed in full costume! He kicked things off with a heartfelt speech to the fans, then swiftly ended his impromptu monologue on the perfect note saying, "This is my first Comic-Con and this is the coolest moment of my life!" Andrew and his costars Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, and director Marc Webb were there to share The Amazing Spider-Man's first trailer and chat about what fans can expect from the highly anticipated reboot. Emma's winding down from a busy week after promoting another project, Crazy, Stupid, Love. She cozied up to Ryan Gosling at their NYC premiere and made the talk show rounds on behalf of the romantic comedy, but for her latest day of work she was in the company of her rumored real-life romantic interest, Andrew. The pair heat up the screen with their chemistry and according to Emma, Andrew was the reason she accepted the role.
