Last night in London, the 2013 British Academy Television Awards (TV Baftas) took place and all of the lovely British beauties who have been suffering in the Autumn-like UK weather stepped out on the red carpet looking amazing...and tanned. Professionals from the St. Tropez self tanning brand rallied to spray, illuminate and contour five ladies including Alexandra (Binky) Felstead, Laura Whitmore, Millie Mackintosh, Zoe Hardman and even Sienna Miller to give them a gorgeous sun-kissed glow. All of the ladies who lined the red carpet last night at the BAFTA Awards, albeit if they were dressed in black, lace, yellow or beads, looked amazing. There were however a solid few whose beauty looks stood out from the rest. As Lancôme was the official beauty sponsor of the evening, their makeup artists have shared the precise products they used to create the gorgeous glow of Adele, Hayley Atwell, Lily James and Olga Kurylenko. Take a look here at their stunning beauty styles and learn how you can re-create these looks at home on your own.
The BAFTAs took place on Sunday at London's Royal Opera House, and many award season heavyweights ended up winning. Daniel Day-Lewis was crowned best actor for his role in Lincoln, and Anne Hathaway took home a best supporting actress honor for Les Misérables. The actor honors were rounded out by best supporting actor Django Unchained's Christop Waltz, and best actress went to Amour's Emmanuelle Riva. Emmanuelle, 85, pulled off an upset over Jennifer Lawrence, who has won plenty of awards so far for Silver Linings Playbook. Ben Affleck celebrated his best picture, Argo, with producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov — check out the full list of 2013 BAFTA winners. Ben's wife, Jennifer Garner, was on hand to circulate in the press room with UK comedian and actor Simon Pegg as well.
The red carpet at Sunday's BAFTA Awards in London was full of famous ladies in glamorous looks. Jennifer Garner chose a backless Roland Mouret gown for the occasion, while nominee Jennifer Lawrence went with a strapless Dior number. Zero Dark Thirty's Jessica Chastain brought a bright blue Roland Mouret look to the rainy evening, while Marion Cotillard followed suit in yellow Dior Haute Couture. Anne Hathaway was back in front of the cameras in Burberry following her appearance at the Berlin Film Festival yesterday. Elizabeth Olsen, who is up for the rising star award, posed in a printed dress; Amy Adams showed skin in a lacy Elie Saab; and Sarah Jessica Parker mixed things up in a pantsuit by Elie Saab as well.
Tonight, the rainy red carpet in London was a sea of black. Ladies from Sarah Jessica Parker to Helena Bonham Carter sported the safe colour for the elegant event in various styles that ranged from lace to velvet to satin and beads. Check out this slideshow of fifteen women who wowed in black this evening and let me know whose ensemble you like most.
With slicked back hair in a lighter tone than she wore it in the film Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence stunned in a strapless, beaded blush Dior Haute Couture gown for tonight's 2013 EE BAFTA Awards. Despite feeling chilly on the red carpet where she borrowed a sport coat from a male friend, once she warmed up, Jennifer absolutely glowed. The Chopard diamonds on her ears certainly didn't hurt and I vote the overall look a success — how do you feel about it? Vote below to let me know!
Wearing an appropriate British designer gown for the red carpet this evening, Anne Hathaway looks beautiful in an understated Burberry dress fitted with embellishments on the top half. Anne is nominated for her role in the play-turned-film Les Miserables and she looked every bit the movie star tonight. I happen to love her stained lip and defined eye. It's a clean style that accentuates her natural beauty. Vote on all of my BAFTA Awards red carpet polls including this one to let me know how you feel about Anne's hair and makeup.
Over at London's Royal Opera House tonight, co-presenter and Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack arrived on the red carpet donning a smoky eye and a black lacey, beaded slinky dress. Her hair was also a bit darker than we are normally used to and her nails were painted a bold metallic purple. What do you think of her red carpet ensemble tonight?
If show stopping is what Laura Whitmore was vying for, I think she'll win best eye-catching look of the evening. She took a totally different approach than bestie and covered up Caroline Flack, as the co-presenter stepped out in an ultra sexy back jumpsuit designed by Alexandre Vauthier. With her hair done in retro curls, winged-eyes and red lips, Laura is styled like a stone cold fox. What are your thoughts about her BAFTA beauty look?
Ben Affleck's wife, Jennifer Garner, looked stunning in Rouland Mouret at the BAFTA Awards, but he still made time for the guys — George Clooney and Bradley Cooper. George is Ben's producing partner on Argo, and the handsome duo have been basking in award-season success with wins at the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, and SAG Awards. Throughout the season, Ben and Bradley Cooper have been buddying up as well, even sharing a bed with each other and Emma Stone on the cover of Vanity Fair's Hollywood Issue. Tonight may mean another win for George, Bradley, and Ben, and they'll all be together one more time at the Oscars on Feb. 24.
