It's been a star-studded few days in Berlin, where Anne Hathaway, James Franco, Rooney Mara, and many more celebs have popped up to premiere their films at the Berlin International Film Festival. Today, Rooney Mara and Jude Law met up in the German capital to present their film, Side Effects. Earlier in the festival, a Chanel-clad Anne linked up with Les Misérables costar Hugh Jackman to promote their hit project. Their costar Amanda Seyfried was pulling double-duty at the festival, where she premiered Les Misérables as well as her upcoming film Lovelace with James Franco and Peter Sarsgaard. Charlize Theron Goes Dramatic in Gucci at the Cinema For Peace Gala

Charlize Theron chose a strapless Gucci gown and Tiffany &Co jewels for the Cinema For Peace Gala during the Berlin International Film Festival today. She was honored at the event for her work as the founder of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, which supports the fight against HIV and AIDS spreading among South African youth. Charlize received a similar honor last month, when she was awarded for her humanitarian work during the Crystal Award Ceremony at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.

Charlize will be back in the spotlight in a few weeks since it was recently announced that she'll be making a special appearance during the Oscars - fill out our Oscars ballot before Feb. 24 for the chance to win $1,000 and an iPad!

Matt Damon linked up with his Promised Land costar John Krasinski and director Gus Van Sant for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of their movie. The snow didn't stop the trio, who were together earlier today for a press conference and photocall, from signing autographs for fans and posing for pictures - Matt even captured a few snaps on his own phone! It's been a fun few days overseas for Matt after he met up with pal George Clooney on Wednesday. Matt and George grabbed dinner with friends as they gear up to get started on their new project. The duo are working together on Monuments Men, which is expected to start filming next month.

Jake Gyllenhaal joined his fellow 2012 Berlin Film Festival judges like directors Anton Corbijn, Mike Leigh, and Francois Ozon, as well as actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, for their closing ceremony last night. They wrapped up the cinematic fun following a week of screenings, photo ops, and press conferences. Angelina Jolie, with her In the Land of Blood and Honey, and Robert Pattinson, who debuted Bel Ami, were among the stars who trekked to Germany for events - check out all the Berlin Film Festival pictures. Last night, statues were handed out to honor the best work seen at the festival. Jake personally handed off the best actress Silver Bear to Congolese actress Rachel Mwanza for her performance in War Witch. Other honors went to the Danish movie A Royal Affair and Germany's Babara. The best picture distinction went to Italy's Caesar Must Die.

The Berlin Film Festival has taken over the German capital for the last week. Many of Hollywood's biggest stars headed to Europe to show off their films, including Angelina Jolie with her In the Land of Blood and Honey. Brad Pitt was by her side for a big premiere, but other celebs rolled through without their significant others. Robert Pattinson posed for photos alongside his Bel Ami buddies Christina Ricci and Holliday Grainger. Robert Pattinson Handsomely Premieres Bel Ami in Berlin

Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet this evening for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of his Bel Ami. He joined up with leading ladies Holliday Grainger and Christina Ricci in front of the assembled photographers. The trio were out today earlier as well for their Bel Ami press conference. During the morning chat, Robert discussed playing a bad guy in the movie, his character, Georges. Robert also talked about how he's changed since first reading the script and making the movie in 2010, in addition to how the project differs from his Twilight series. Robert said:

On why he decided to do the movie: "It's funny, the structure of Bel Ami and the character of Georges really rarely comes up in movies anymore because he's completely unrepentant, and normally a movie has to teach somebody a lesson nowadays. It was quite fun playing that."
On how he's changed since shooting the movie in 2010: "I read the script a long time ago. I was pretty young. I think I've changed a little bit. I kind of understood that. You create an empire just so you can sh-- on someone else. I think I've grown up a little bit. I'm not as horrible."
On how the audiences should differ from Twilight to Bel Ami: "I guess my responsibility, I think, it's not necessarily to give anything back other than try and do the best work you can. You get an audience for doing certain jobs, so I think the biggest disservice you can do to your audience is trying to repeat the same thing and to come just to get money or whatever. If a Twilight audience would come watch Bel Ami, it's a movie that I wouldn't have thought that audience would go to, so I think that in some way, it's kind of doing a service to someone. I felt like I learned a lot from it."

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt continued their visit to Berlin today after he made a quick pit stop in London over the weekend to attend the BAFTAs. He was nominated for best actor at the British film celebration, which aired yesterday evening, though The Artist star Jean Dujardin ended up taking home the honor. Brad and Angelina first flew to Germany last week for the Berlin Film Festival, where Angelina hosted a premiere of her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey. Angelina's film and her philanthropic ties are closely related, and today, she joined the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court for a workshop on sexual violence and child soldiers at a Berlin hotel. After the meeting, she reunited with Brad at the Cinema for Peace gala, where she was given an award for her film's message against genocide and war.

Before accepting the honor this evening, Angelina told reporters she hopes the movie is actually difficult for audiences to see. She said, “It’s a strange thing to say as a director and a filmmaker, but I want people to be very uncomfortable when they watch it, and they should be upset and they should want some intervention, and they should want it to stop and they should be angry."

Angelina Jolie posed solo in a Miguelina dress at the premiere of The Lady during the Berlin Film Festival today. She's been on multiple carpets since arriving in Germany, including at her own screening of In the Land of Blood and Honey. Angelina had Brad Pitt by her side and wore a glamorous gold Jenny Packham gown for the big event. She'll continue her run in front of the cameras at an upcoming screening of Blood and Honey in Sarajevo, which she said she's both nervous and excited about since her film's subject is the Bosnian war.

Jake Gyllenhaal Suits Up and Begins Judging the Berlin Film Festival

Jake Gyllenhaal, wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo suit, joined his fellow jurors last night at the opening ceremony for the 62nd annual Berlin Film Festival. Jake touched down in Germany earlier this week and got a warm reception from fans and the festival's director, Dieter Kosslick. The competition officially kicked off yesterday with the world premiere of Diane Kruger's Farewell, My Queen. There are 18 films in the running this year with each hoping to take home the Golden Bear trophy for best feature. In addition to Diane's movie, Jake will also have the opportunity to judge Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey, which is scheduled to premiere tomorrow night.
