This week I attended the Chalet Girl premiere and chatted to the stars. Ed Westwick told me he has no plans to leave Gossip Girl despite reports, and I also talked to his costar Tamsin Egerton, who gave me an insight into life filming in the mountains. Here's what she said:
It looks like the cast bonded and had fun making the film?
Yeah, we're all really young, the main cast. But we all got stuck in. Felicity had never snowboarded, I'd never skied, and so it was a new process for both of us. So we went out before everyone else, and kind of had our own intense lessons before we started filming and then we just carried on. I think that really bonded us at the beginning.
Did you party after work together?
Yeah, it was the whole chalet lifestyle. The director actually said "I want you to do the apres-ski" because that is a part of the lifestyle. We're advertising this life and if you're not a part of it then it's just, people who do live this life — they're just going to be able to see straight through you. We want to make people really feel like they're there and so we were learning to ski, we went out, we hung out with each other. We were this one big happy family and we just went out everywhere, it was great.
Tell us about one of your nights out!
We had a few Jägermeisters too many and we didn't know how to get down the slopes to the next bar, so Ed just got on his back and skidded all the way down, and the other guys were like "That's really cool, I'm gonna do that". And I turned to the girls and said "I really don't think that's a good idea" and just slipped and fell and did it. So we all just piled down and fell on top of each other at the end and then had to brush ourselves off before we piled into the bar. Thank god we were all okay, because I have a friend who did that and she really shattered her shoulder, so I don't think the insurance covered that... the director did it too though!

Last night I attended the Chalet Girl premiere at London's Westfield, and managed to catch up with the gorgeous star of the film, Ed Westwick, for a chat. He was utterly charming as I asked him about his upcoming project with Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio, and he put rumours he's leaving Gossip Girl to rest. Here's what he said:
Do you prefer working on TV or movies?
I enjoy both... both are very different, TV moves a lot quicker. Film, you get a lot more time to spend on it. You go from project to project, and then all of a sudden you're at a lovely thing like this.
It's rumoured you want to move on from Gossip Girl, is that true?
That was taken out of context... what I was trying to say was I want to maximise my time so I can work on other projects as well as Gossip Girl. Why would I [want to move on]? I'm having a fantastic time. I've got a great character, a great cast, and I get to live in New York City.
Your character in the film has rock star ambitions, are you still playing music?
I had a band [The Filthy Youth], that was a little while ago, we broke up a long time ago. I just mess around on the side and play music on my own now.

Tamsin Egerton, Ed Westwick and Felicity Jones were at Westfield in London last night for the Chalet Girl premiere. They're part of a star-studded cast that includes Sophia Bush, Bill Nighy, Brooke Shields and the hilarious Bill Bailey. Ed looked gorgeous in his sharp suit and told me recent rumours he's leaving Gossip Girl are false, Felicity's fresh from Sundance success and looked beautiful in her blue velvet dress, while Tamsin showed off her pins in an Armani dress and Dior shoes. Ed Westwick got suited and booted for the London Evening Standard British Film Awards last night, after wearing a more casual outfit for his trip to ITV studios earlier in the day. He's on home soil to promote his new film Chalet Girl, and we'll be bringing you the gossip from the UK premiere later today! The British actor has said he's ready to move on from Gossip Girl, and is already lining up more movie projects like Clint Eastwood's upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic. It's all about work for Ed right now: when Lorraine Kelly asked him if he's looking for love he said: "No, I’m focusing on my career actually. It takes up a lot of time and commitment." Ed's on-off girlfriend Jessica Szohr has also reportedly moved on from their relationship, as rumours suggest she's dating NFL player Aaron Rodgers.
