Tonight's National Television Awards were held at London's O2 Arena, and we've already taken a look at all the men and women on the red carpet. Ant and Dec shared a long hug as they accepted the first award of the night for Best Entertainment Programme on behalf of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, James Corden started his acceptance speech for Gavin and Stacey with some Vanilla Ice lyrics. The man himself took to the stage later with John & Edward in a rather special performance.

What's occuring? The third (and final) series of Gavin & Stacey, that's what! It all kicks off tonight on BBC 1 at 9pm, where we pick up with Gavin — who's started a new job in Cardiff, Smithy — who's trying to cope without him, and the gang, as they all prepare for baby Neil's christening.

The Gavin & Stacey cast are busy filming their third series in Barry at the moment, with the whole crew heading out on the beach to shoot some fun scenes. Mathew Horne and James Corden chatted with Larry Lamb on the sand, while Joanna Page and Ruth Jones prepared for shooting in the shade. Also present was lovely Rob Brydon whose "sensible" Uncle Bryn had covered his nose in sunscreen, and Alison Steadman who plays Mathew's mum.

Gavin And Stacey's Rob Brydon and Ruth Jones take the lead on the Comic Relief charity single this year as their characters Bryn and Nessa, recreating their duet from the series "Islands In The Stream". This time around though, they're in America for a karaoke contest and they've got some help from living legend Tom Jones!
The single is out on Monday (March 9), it's for a great cause and the video made me laugh thanks to the implications of a past between Nessa and Tom, so check it out and let me know — will you spin it or sling it?

Comic Relief 2009 launched today, with Ruth Jones, Rob Brydon and Joanna Page taking centre stage at the event in Leicester Square. They were sporting the classic red noses, with a slightly new design for 2009, alongside other celebs like The Saturdays, Jo Brand, Claudia Winkleman, Steve Jones and Alesha Dixon. Rob and Ruth have recorded a special version of their classic Gavin and Stacey song moment "Islands In The Stream" to release as the single for this year's Comic Relief night of music and mayhem which will fall on 13 March this year.

Last night the NME Awards nominees were announced, where Oasis earned a massive seven nominations, including Best British Band, Best Live Band and Best Album. The categories range from the musical, encompass TV — where PopSugarUK favourites Gavin & Stacey and Skins are up for awards — film, web, venues, style, and then move on to the more fun Hero / Villian Of The Year categories.
Those American teen sensations the Jonas Brothers have also been recognised, with nods in the Worst Band and Worst Album categories in the reader-voted shortlists, but they shouldn't worry too much as they're also alongside Best Band nominee Oasis.

Mathew Horne and James Corden have a brand new sketch show called Horne and Corden coming to BBC3 very soon, and they've let us all have a sneak peek behind the scenes on how they made it all happen. The boys trialed some material in some live shows at the end of last year, and you'll see some clips of that in the video below. The show is directed by Kathy Burke, and there's a live studio audience as well as sketches.

If there's one programme I've been looking forward to the most this festive season, it has to be the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special. With a new series confirmed now, this won't be our last visit to Nessa, Bryn, Smithy, Gavin, Stacey et al, but we'll get to join them for a Christmas in Billericay this evening. The Christmas special is just over an hour long, and starts at 10pm, but I want to know if you'll be watching tonight?
