Twilight scooped three awards at the National Movie Awards tonight, including performance of the year for Robert Pattinson in New Moon — check out his acceptance speech! Tom Cruise was given the screen icon award, while the special recognition gong went to Harry Potter. Peter Facinelli, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Bonnie Wright all celebrated their wins in the press room. Check out the full list under the cut!

The Twilight gang have scored a number of nominations for this year's MTV Movie Awards. Robert Pattinson has got the birthday present of three nods, including Best Kiss with Kristen Stewart, Best Male Performance and Global Star. He's up against his Taylor Lautner in the latter two categories, as well as his fellow Brit Daniel Radcliffe. The Harry Potter cast are also up for Best Villain (Tom Felton) and Best Female Performance (Emma Watson). Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is in the running for Best Movie against New Moon, Alice in Wonderland, Avatar and The Hangover. Check out the full list of nominations after the jump.

Here it is, your final Best of 2009 poll result, and this one's been a closely fought battle!

I've dedicated a lot of posts this year to the amazing British actors out there at the moment so I asked you who your favourite is! While New Moon's Robert Pattinson took an early lead, all you fans of Rupert Grint started to show your support for the Harry Potter actor and he took the top spot with 51% to Rob's 36%!

While Rob's been pretty ubiquitous thanks to his filming of Eclipse and the release of New Moon, lovely Rupert's definitely not had a quiet year. We got our first look at Rupert's performance in Cherrybomb when it premiered at the Belfast Film Festival, he promoted Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and also suffered and recovered from Swine Flu just before the UK premiere! He got hit with the illness as he was filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, missing a week on set, and we got our first glance at the movie earlier this month!

Last time we saw Robert Pattinson he was looking rather dashing in his smart suit, but yesterday he was back to looking a little scruffy in his casual clothes as he filmed Remember Me alongside Emilie De Ravin. Pierce Brosnan also made an appearance on set yesterday, but Emilie and Robert filmed what looked like a rather sad scene as they sat looking sulky on the New York stoop, with Rob lighting up a cigarette too. While Daniel Radcliffe said that Robert was "genuinely sexy" earlier this week, Justin Timberlake has also commented on his sexiness — when a fan asked JT why he wasn't sexy like Rob, he replied "Because God loved him more than me." Well, I think they're both pretty hot —there's definitely room for more than one heartthrob for our manjoyment!
