Mutya Buena has applied for ownership of the Sugababes name, naming her two fellow original Sugababes on the document — Siobhan Donaghy and Keisha Buchanan. None of the original three members are in the current formation of the group, who celebrated their album Sweet 7's launch last night. If Mutya wins ownership of the name she will have the right to use the band name on any entertainment products of her choice, and it's likely that the current lineup — Heidi Range, Jade Ewen and Amelle Berrabah — will be unable to use the name.

After holidaying in Barbados the Sugababes are back in work mode with new single "Wear My Kiss". They have released a preview of the futuristic accompanying video, where clones of Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen dance around behind the real girls. The track is the third single from their album Sweet 7, and is the second video to feature new band member Jade.

The Sugababes certainly look like they're enjoying their time in Barbados — with all that sun, sea and sand, who wouldn't be? The girls all showed off different bikinis to their jaunt outside yesterday. Heidi Range chose to stay dry on the beach, wearing a sarong over her funky black bikini, while Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen splashed around in the sea with friends.

After singing "Santa Baby" on Christmas Top of the Pops, the Sugababes have jetted off to Barbados to leave the cold weather of Britain behind! The girls certainly don't seem to have overindulged over Xmas, with all three showing off their enviable figures as they sunbathed and laughed as they walked along the beach together. Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah have spoken out to correct rumours about the split which led to Keisha Buchanan being replaced by Jade Ewen, saying that they quit the band originally, not Keisha.

The O2 Arena in London played host to Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball over the weekend, with loads of top music stars entertaining the crowds over two days. Brit singers like Alexandra Burke, Alesha Dixon, Pixie Lott and La Roux were joined by American and international female stars like Shakira, Miley Cyrus and Jordin Sparks. Plenty of male performers also took to the stage, including Ne-Yo, Dizzee Rascal, Taio Cruz, Flo Rida and Tinchy Stryder.

Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding celebrated their 28th birthdays at Sarah's club Kanaloa in London this weekend, and were joined by band mates Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole. FabUK has the lowdown on what the girls were wearing and also wants to know: which member of Girls Aloud was best dressed? Cheryl brought hubby Ashley along (as well as her mum!) and the couple put on a united front following reports of problems in their marriage.

Amelle Berrabah has spoken for the first time about her three-week stay in an Austrian clinic after being diagnosed with nervous exhaustion last month. She joined her band mates Heidi Range and Jade Ewen on GMTV to perform on television for the first time as a new line-up and the trio sang their single "About A Girl". Amelle told Andrew Castle she is "absolutely better" and Heidi also explained why Keisha Buchanan left the group.

Heidi Range and Jade Ewen have just revealed on their MySpace blog Amelle Berrabah is taking a break from the Sugababes:
"It seems that with all the recent events in the band right up to Jade joining us a few weeks ago, the stress over a period of months has unfortunately taken its toll on Amelle and she is now suffering from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion.
For the next 3 weeks, Amelle will be staying at a private health clinic in Europe where she will be able to rest and recuperate under expert supervision. We’re expecting her to return to work in full health by the beginning of November...

We saw them filming in an American desert, and now the Sugababes' video for "About A Girl" has made its premiere! It's the first track that the new lineup has released, and sees new member Jade Ewen join Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah as another group of women show off their martial arts skills. The trio wear tight leather outfits as they drive and dance through the desert.
