The final Kate Moss for Topshop collection launches today and it's pretty impressive. The last major installment is a collection of new pieces mixed in with iconic items from the past three years. Kate herself was on hand last night to launch the collaboration at Oxford Circus along with Sir Phillip Green and his daughter Chloe. The range includes partywear, lingerie, and accessories. Sneak Preview of the Final Kate Moss for Topshop Collection
Kate Moss has been working with Topshop since 2007 and at the end of August, announced that the collaboration as we know it would be coming to an end. There is to be one final installment (her 14th for the store) which promised to include some of the most popular pieces from the past few years. It is due to launch on 2nd November and a preview video has just been revealed. Kate commented,
"When we started the project we didn’t have an end in mind but I’m really proud of all 14 collections. I’ve learned a lot about the design and development process; experiences that I’d only ever seen informally through being a model.”
This film was shot by Nick Knight (who regularly works with Kate) and stars London girls Adwoa Aboah, Cara Delevigne, Genevieve Garner, Rosalyn Holman, and Jessica Horton. Are you excited for this final installment?
Kate Moss for Topshop is Ending
Kate Moss has been designing for Topshop since 2007 and will launch her 14th collection in October which has been confirmed to be her last. The model had created six collections a year at one point, but can no longer commit to working with the store. Sir Phillip Green explained to The Times, "It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but [the designs] take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time any more."
Kate is thought to have made at least £3 million from the collaboration, but rumours suggest that it was "running out of steam".
The final full collection is due to hit stores and online on 25th October and it will include popular pieces from her first clothing line. Green has confirmed that they will still do small collections with the model of about 12-15 items, "That will be easier for us, we’ll do something fun."
The excitement surrounding Kate's design efforts definitely seems to have decreased in recent seasons, so it seems to make sense to quit while they're ahead. Are you sad to hear this news, or do you think it was inevitable?
Ten Fab Worthy Pieces by Kate Moss for Topshop
The 12th collection by Kate Moss for Topshop hits stores today across the UK and online. The supermodel has upped her game a bit for this line which sees her moving away from rock chick pieces and more towards boho styling. The fabrics this time are a little more luxurious (particularly for the dresses) and I can see this being one of her more popular collections. Click through to see my ten favourite pieces, some of which were modeled by Kate herself.

Kate Moss for Topshop, Christmas 2009 Launches
Kate Moss launched her twelfth collection for Topshop this week and starred in the look book. The latest capsule line includes nightwear, partywear and lingerie.
The kimono, which was one of my favourite pieces, has already sold out, but there are plenty more oriental inspired pieces to add to your wardrobe.
I think the price point is quite high (the oriental slip is £50), but there are some fun pieces like the sequined mini dress (£130). What do you think of Kate's latest effort?
