Jessica Chastain donned a blue Andrew Gn dress to attend the TheWrap’s pre-Oscars party held at the Four Seasons in LA last night. She was joined by her Zero Dark Thirty director Kathryn Bigelow, as well as Silver Linings Playbook's Chris Tucker and the film's director David O. Russell for the night out.

Jessica wasn't the only nominee celebrating ahead of Sunday's big show. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence paired up for a special pre-Oscars dinner party, and Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried joined other Les Misérables cast members at a separate bash. Oscar night is fast approaching, but it's not too late to fill out our Oscar ballot for a chance to win $1,000 and an iPad.

Zero Dark Thirty Trailer: Jessica Chastain Brings Down bin Laden

Director Kathryn Bigelow has taken on the mighty task of turning the takedown of Osama bin Laden into a feature film, and the first full trailer for Zero Dark Thirty has my heart skipping beats.

Director Kathryn Bigelow has taken on the mighty task of turning the takedown of Osama bin Laden into a feature film, and the first full trailer for Zero Dark Thirty has my heart skipping beats. We already got to see glimpses of stars Jessica Chastain and Kyle Chandler in the film's teaser but this preview gives a better idea of the story. It's definitely going to revolve around the covert operation, but it appears to be giving a more human look at the troops and agents involved, including the emotional toll it takes to be a part of such a massively secretive and dangerous mission.

The trailer briefly introduces us to some of the supporting players, including Chris Pratt, Joel Edgerton, and The Vampire Diaries' Taylor Kinney, but this seems to be Chastain's movie. We don't actually hear her speak in the trailer, but we see her with her head in her hands, a voiceover clarifying, "There is just us, and we are failing."The part that has me on the edge of my seat is the final frame, showing a night-vision shot of the special unit surrounding a compound. The movie is set for a Dec. 19 release, but until then, you can watch the trailer after the jump.

The big winners at last night's Oscars went from the star-studded stage right into the press room to speak to assorted reporters about their honours. Melissa Leo was the first actor of the evening to discuss her new gold, though her priority was apologising for using a curse word during her acceptance speech. Best supporting actor Christian Bale, however, confessed to missing her colourful remark since he was off at the bar with his wife. Other winners like musician Randy Newman and writer Aaron Sorkin also spoke, with The Social Network scribe saying he's he's going to think long and hard about his next movie project. The Academy Awards' most anticipated honors went to Natalie Portman and Colin Firth, and the Rodarte clad actress said that her baby was kicking during the musical numbers like Gwyneth Paltrow's "Country Strong." Colin, meanwhile, joked that his invitation to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding was lost in the mail, and apparently was still itching to celebrate by dancing.
