If you missed the hugely entertaining Lost in Austen on ITV then fear not, as the series is released on DVD today!
The four-part drama takes Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and mixes it up by throwing in a modern day woman, Amanda Price (Jemima Rooper).
Amanda, who swaps places with Elizabeth Bennet (Gemma Arterton) thanks to a secret portal, tries her best to keep the plot of her favourite novel on course, but she can't control the action as bizarre new twists start to emerge.

With the end of Lost in Austen last week, I've been in a Pride and Prejudice mood and have been thinking back to the 1995 TV series version and 2005 film version. I like all three actors in the role of Darcy: Colin Firth in the BBC TV series, Matthew Mcfadyen in the film version with Keira Knightley, and Elliot Cowan in ITV's recent spin on the story. I want to know your preferences, so tell me: who is your favourite Darcy?

Last night's final episode of Lost In Austen was full to the brim, giving us yet more action and tying up lots of loose ends. The action even moves to the present day, but I'm glad the majority of the finale focuses on the world of Pride and Prejudice.
So the episode begins with Amanda distraught over Darcy's rejection.

Wowzers, the third installment of Lost In Austen certainly packs a huge amount in. The action moves from Longbourn to Rosings to Pemberley; there's the requisite shirtless Darcy scene; and we get more alternative versions of Pride and Prejudice when Caroline Bingley and Georgiana Darcy make some startling revelations.
The episode begins with a series of unhappy events: Amanda tries to get back through the door, but to no avail; Mr Bennet, who is sleeping in the libarary, tells Mrs Bennet how angry he is about Jane's situation; and poor Jane is stuck with creepy Mr Collins.

After last week's scene-setting opening episode, last night's installment of Lost In Austen picks up the pace and stays entirely in the world of the book. We meet the wicked Wickham, and see some interesting departures from the plot of Pride and Prejudice when modern day Amanda manages to mess up crucial situations.
The episode starts at Netherfield, and Amanda aiding Jane's recovery by slipping her a paracetamol.

The four-part drama takes Jane Austen's popular novel and throws in modern day woman Amanda Price (played by Jemima Rooper).
