Stars and Royals Celebrate Queen Elizabeth at the Diamond Jubilee Derby

Today is Queen Elizabeth II's first official event as part of her Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend.

Today is Queen Elizabeth II's first official event as part of her Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend. It's the 233rd Epsom Derby — this year named the Diamond Jubilee Derby in honor of the queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Epsom Derby kicked off with Ladies Day yesterday, and women sported eccentric hats and plenty of Union Jack attire. As the country's most prestigious horse race, the event draws a who's who of England — including, of course, the royal family. At today's event, Queen Elizabeth presented the Diamond Jubilee Coronation Cup to the winning horse, Camelot, who was trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by O'Brien's son, Joseph. Katherine Jenkins sang the national anthem, and members of the royal family like Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie attended the races — along with some stars including Mischa Barton — to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's big event. We've already taken a look back at the royal family's Epsom Derby presence over the years, but now we're offering a glimpse of this year's sightings. Check out the best moments from the Diamond Jubilee Derby now!

Kate Middleton Breaks Out a Familiar Pink Dress For Tea With the Queen

Kate Middleton joined her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth, for a special event in London today.

Kate Middleton joined her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth, for a special event in London today. The ladies were among the many who turned out for a royal tea party at Buckingham Palace. 8,000 people were in attendance, as were Kate's in-laws Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. Kate was lovely, as usual, in a pink dress. It was the same Emilia Wickstead coatdress that she wore less than two weeks ago for drinks with William and Harry at Waterloo Chamber in honor of a royal dinner for heads of state.

The event was held ahead of the official opening of the Queen's Jubilee, a special celebration being held to honor Elizabeth's 60 years on the throne. The tea party is actually held annually to honor those who do public service, and this year's timing couldn't have been better. The Queen's grandsons, Princes William and Harry, even gave special interviews ahead of the Jubilee's start. William and Harry spoke with Katie Couric about their grandmother, and their whole chat airs this evening on ABC.

Flower Power — Celebrate Chelsea Flower Show in Floral Headwear

Yesterday in London, the Queen was amongst the first visitors to the Chelsea Flower Show and went with the theme in a black tulle hat decorated with tiny flowers designed by her dresser, Angela Kelly.

Yesterday in London, the Queen was amongst the first visitors to the Chelsea Flower Show and went with the theme in a black tulle hat decorated with tiny flowers designed by her dresser, Angela Kelly. Unsurprisingly, florals were on display on the guests' outfits in homage to the annual flower show, with one model posing in a hat made of ivy and foliage and another donning white petals behind her ear. An easy way to get involved with Spring and Summer's floral trend without looking like you're at a child's birthday party is to wear it in your headgear, whether that's a fascinator for a formal do or a straw hat for a beach trip. Shop my selections below for every price point and tell me how you like to style flowers in your hair!
