Dick Clark has sadly passed away today as a result of a heart attack. The producer and TV personality was 82 years old, and had suffered a stroke in 2004. We'll always remember Clark for his annual hosting duties on New Year's Rockin' Eve, and our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.
Amy Winehouse Passes Away
Shocking and sad news — Amy Winehouse has died. The singer was apparently found in her London home this morning. She was 27. There are few details at this point, but we'll keep you updated as they roll in and are confirmed. The Metropolitan Police released a statement regarding Amy's death saying:
"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained."
A spokesperson for Amy Winehouse also released a statement:
"Everyone involved with Amy is shocked and devastated. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. The family will issue a statement when ready."

A Look Back at Elizabeth Taylor's '60s and '70s Style
Earlier today, the sad news broke that Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor had passed away. The actress was at a medical centre in Los Angeles surrounded by her children when it happened at 1.30am this morning. Her publicist commented, "Though [Taylor] had recently suffered a number of complications, her condition had stabilized and it was hoped that she would be able to return home. Sadly, this was not to be." Taylor's height of fame was between the '60s and '70s when she was married to Richard Burton. The couple originally wed in 1964 for ten years, before getting divorced and then married again in 1975. During the '60s, she won two academy awards for BUtterfield 8 and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Her most famous role was as Cleopatra in 1963. Elizabeth Taylor has Died
Very sad news is breaking this afternoon as classic actress Elizabeth Taylor has died. She was 79 years old and at the Cedars Sinai medical centre in Los Angeles. She will be remembered as a screen icon and one of the biggest classic Hollywood stars. It is thought that she suffered from heart failure. She is perhaps best known for her work in the '50s and '60s when she won two Oscars and for her famous marriage to Richard Burton which began in 1964.
Elizabeth spent much of her later life dedicated to her Aids charity, which she set up in 1991 following the death of Rock Hudson. She has been ill for some time suffering from congestive heart failure since 2004 having already survived surgery for a benign brain tumour in 1997. She wasn't going to let that slow her down though as she tweeted last year, "No one is going to play Elizabeth Taylor, but Elizabeth Taylor herself. Not at least until I'm dead, and at the moment I'm having too much fun being alive...and I plan on staying that way. Happiness to all." Our thoughts are with her friends and family at this sad time.
RIP: Pete Postlethwaite Has Died of Cancer
Sad news today — actor Pete Postlethwaite has died at the age of 64. He passed away at a hospital in Shropshire after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was Oscar-nominated for his role in In the Name of the Father, and among his many films he starred in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet and The Usual Suspects, as well as the more recent Inception.
He is survived by his wife and their two children, and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Leslie Nielsen Has Died
Leslie Nielsen has died at 84, from complications related to pneumonia. He died in hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Sunday afternoon, after being admitted nearly two weeks ago. His condition got worse in the last two days.
Best known for his comedy roles in Airplane! and The Naked Gun, the Canadian-born actor starred in more than 100 films. His nephew Doug Nielsen said: "with his friends and his wife by his side, he just fell asleep and passed away".

Sir Norman Wisdom Dies Aged 95
Sir Norman Wisdom died at a nursing home on Monday. His family released a statement:
"Sir Norman Wisdom has today passed away at Abbotswood Nursing Home on the Isle of Man. Over the last six months Norman has sustained a series of strokes causing a general decline in both his physical and mental health. He had maintained a degree of independence until a few days ago. However, over the last few days his condition rapidly declined. He was in no pain or distress and peacefully passed over at 1846 on 4 October."

Designer Catherine Walker Passes Away
This weekend news broke that London based designer Catherine Walker sadly passed away. She is best known for creating over 1,000 outfits for Princess Diana, but last Thursday she lost a long battle with breast cancer aged 65.
Her family released a statement saying, "Catherine overcame young widowhood and fought cancer twice with enduring bravery. As a designer, she never worked within the conventional mould; she had no formal training, shunned the limelight throughout her career and never showed her collections on the runway."
Catherine was born in France, but made her name whilst living in the UK. She was an award winning couture designer whose designs had also been worn by Joely Richardson, Shakira Caine and Queen Noor of Jordan. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
