The cast of Scream 4 kept the good times rolling last night, heading from their movie premiere to an afterparty at The Redbury Hotel. Courteney Cox stuck close to her costars in the movie, like Neve Campbell, Anna Paquin, Emma Roberts, and Kristen Bell, but she also had her small-screen buddies on hand showing their support. Her friends from Cougar Town like Busy Philipps, Ian Gomez, and her shirtless and bikini-filled vacation buddy Josh Hopkins were on hand to toast Courteney's foray back to the big screen. Even Isla Fisher turned out for the bash during a breaking hanging with her baby daughter Elula.
The guys and girls of Scream 4 assembled in LA last night to premiere their latest installment in director Wes Craven's series. Courteney Cox and David Arquette put their divorce aside to pose on the carpet with their costar Neve Campbell, who has been busy making the interview rounds to support the project over the last few weeks. Both David and Courteney, who recently visited Disney with their 6-year-old daughter Coco, also have had their fair share of press to do, including a stop at the junket where he spoke about their meeting 15 years ago, and she talked about how scary Scream is. Their red carpet was jam-packed with their many costars, including newcomers like Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Anthony Anderson. Adam Brody brought along his girlfriend Lorene Scafaria — make sure to stay tuned later for video from the star-studded event!
Scream 4 opens this week, and even though the newest sequel features a reunion of three of the 1996 film's stars (Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette), I was curious about what the rest of the cast of the original movie are up to. So before you check out the next chapter in the witty horror franchise, see what the original actors are doing!
Courteney Cox revisits the franchise that helped kick off her movie career and introduced her to her husband David Arquette this month with the release of Scream 4. We sat down with the actress to talk about her favorite memories from the horror series, which has spanned an impressive 15 years, and why she still gets scared when she watches the Scream movies at home. Courteney told shooting the latest installment felt like a family reunion, brought her even closer to Neve Campbell, and, predictably, led to a few bruises. She also talked about her current TV series Cougar Town, and hinted that one of the characters will get baby fever on the upcoming episodes! Check out our full chat with Courteney and stay tuned to watch our interviews with the rest of the movie's cast.
Courteney Cox and her estranged husband David Arquette are spending lots of time together as they kick off promotion for their new movie Scream 4. In interviews this week, Courteney spoke about the experience of working with David and commented that after he left rehab it's the, "best he's ever looked! He's so cute that I'm like, dude, I don't understand. Really?! Why are you that cute right now?" He's made it clear that he wants their marriage to work out, and we're hoping that they both are able to figure out what's best for them as they enter their sixth month of separation. Both Courteney and David have spoken publicly about their split in the past, and we'd like to know what you think of her latest kind words about him — think they're a hint of a reunion?
From Breaking Dawn Part I to The Hangover Part 2, this year has already broken records for the number of sequels heading to theaters (27!), and there are plenty that you're excited about. But it also means that you have some brushing up to do! Do you remember what happened in the last Scream film over ten years ago? How about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? Now's the time to start planning your movie nights, so you can catch up on the franchises before the new ones hit theaters. Here's a quick rundown of the ten biggies to check off your list!
The first teaser for Scream 4 gave us a brief look at the franchise's original actors Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette mixed with the new, younger cast, but this newly released trailer takes a closer look at the newcomers.
There's also more plot details: on the anniversary of the Woodsboro murders, Sidney returns to her hometown, and not so coincidentally, a copycat killer stars picking off victims. Her teenage cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) naturally becomes one of the pursued, along with her best friends, like Hayden Panettiere. The new preview also gives a glimpse of actors in bit parts, like Adam Brody, Marley Shelton, and Alison Brie — some of whom as they're getting killed. Chilling. Do you like scary movies? Fourteen years ago (can you believe it?), Wes Craven made those five words one of the most terrifying questions in movie history with Scream. Three films later, and Sydney, Gale, and Dewey are still on the run from the latest Ghostface Killer. This time they're joined by an onslaught of fresh blood (mostly pretty young things like Lucy Hale, Hayden Panettiere, and Emma Roberts) in the new trailer for Scream 4.
Rory Culkin plays the token horror-movie aficionado, taking us through "the rules," though the 21st century brings some changes. The murders have to be more extreme, the killer wants to videotape all of his conquests, and — gasp! — virgins aren't safe anymore! The first look at the reunion of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette has me giddy for more, and dare I say the upcoming installment looks even better than Scream 3. Check out all the star-studded goodness for yourself when you read more
This week there's been two sequel announcements about big movie franchises that kicked off in the 90s — Scream and Austin Powers. Both will be coming back for a fourth installment. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette will return for Scream 4 — and my girl Buzz is stoked about this sequel which will be directed by Wes Craven, written by Kevin Williamson and be released in April 2011. Meanwhile, Mike Myers and director Jay Roach are working on ideas for Austin Powers 4! So, which one are you more likely to go and see at the cinema — or would you prefer new ideas instead of old franchises coming back? Let me know!
Diane Kruger and Quentin Tarantino brought Inglourious Basterds to London yesterday for the UK premiere at Leicester Square. Quentin was full of praise for Diane, saying she was wonderful to work with. Last night's premiere didn't quite match the star-studded affair of the premiere at Cannes Film Festival, and I was sad that Joshua Jackson didn't attend, but excitement was provided by Rihanna, who wore an attention-grabbing outfit. Neve Campbell also attended, and spoke about the possibility of starring in Sream 4. Check out all the red carpet fashion with my girl FabUK, and tell her who was best dressed.
Loads more pictures of all the stars at the premiere, including Chrissie Hynde, Liz McLarnon, Alex James, Mickey Rourke, Jameela Jamil and Ronan Keating, so read more
