Throughout December you've been voting for your favourites of the year and I've been announcing the winners, and now it's time for the final award: favourite British male of 2008.
There are lots of great guys in this category, so I struggled to narrow down the choice to ten. Most of the finalists received a similar number of votes, but one edged in to the lead to be crowned winner: James McAvoy.

A whole host of British female celebrities having been making waves not only on our shores, but internationally too, from models and actresses to singers and working mums. An overwhelming majority chose Cheryl Cole as your favourite British female of 2008, and thanks to her strong performance as X Factor judge, I have agree with you!

This year, some of my favourite manjoyment subjects grew extra facial hair for their art. Justin Timberlake didn't hold on to his, but Brad Pitt and George Clooney are still keeping their upper lips warm.

Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street battled it out for this title using their dramatic storylines, but in the end Hollyoaks got the most votes and will be crowned as your favourite British soap of 2008. A mention also must go to Eastenders, which I'm choosing as my soap of the year.

We've had some awesome reality TV shows this year, and you guys voted for The X Factor as your favourite. I was really torn, as Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity have all been fantastic this year.
