Water For Elephants

Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon, in Zac Posen, reunited with a pachyderm this afternoon at the Sydney photo call for Water For Elephants, and this evening the two stars got even fancier to attend the Australian premiere. Members of the press were happy to see the two stars, and even made Rob smile by wishing him an early birthday! His actual big day is one week away, as he turns 25 on May 13. Reese and Rob touched down in the country just yesterday and had one night to acclimate to the big time difference after spending much of last week on the other side of the world — they also showed off the movie in France, Spain, Germany, and Rob's native Britain. Despite any jet lag, Reese was chipper first thing this morning when she took advantage of her downtime to shop around the city. She also engaged in some retail therapy while in Paris, but Rob hasn't ventured out much publicly. He doesn't have to worry about dog-walking duty while traveling, as his lady friend Kristen Stewart is watching his dog, Bear, back in the US.

The duo kicked off overseas press for the film without Reese Witherspoon, though she should be joining them soon since she was spotted catching a flight out of LAX last night. Robert is sporting a bit of a glow from his weekend in the Caribbean working on reshoots for Breaking Dawn, where he stripped down for sexy Edward and Bella honeymoon scenes in skimpy swimsuits.

They're in Germany kicking off international press for the film, which opened back in the US last weekend. Their leading lady, Reese Witherspoon, has yet to join them in Europe, as she's hanging out at home in LA with her husband and kids. The stop in Germany is the latest in Robert's country-hopping itinerary — he spent a recent few days in St. Thomas doing reshoots for Breaking Dawn with a bikini-clad Kristen Stewart! Both Kristen and Robert were also in Canada just a few weeks ago wrapping up on-location scenes for the final installment of the Twilight series, though their big-screen buddies Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, and Jackson Rathbone just headed back north of the border yesterday.
