Here's a reminder of how the PopUK Book Club works: each week I'll suggest chapters to complete by the next post (each Monday).

I've been looking ahead to what we could read together in our PopUK Book Club. Several film adaptations are coming up, so I've selected a range of such titles as possible future reads. Some have been published recently while some are classics, and different genres are represented, from the short story to children's fiction to chick lit.

Taking inspiration from my girl Buzz, the time has come to launch our very own virtual book club here on PopUK! Just like the Buzz Book Club, we will read and discuss a book every month.
I've chosen Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh for our first foray this September.

Today I'm bringing you my final gift ideas for female friends and sisters, before I move onto pressies for the men in your life next week. This gift guide is for those pals of yours who love to read and then compare the book with the film adaptation.
First up I've got The Secret Life of Bees, about female solidarity in segregated 1960s South Carolina: the film version hits our cinemas next week.
