*Do you feel the true meaning of Christmas has been forgotten?*
It is more about an imaginary man (Santa Claus) than Jesus Christ himself.
On Christmas Eve before the children go to bed, some of the last words they hear is “Twas the night before Christmas” – not any story about Jesus Christ and his good deeds. And on Christmas day Jesus is also most likely not mentioned or missed at all, as the children jump up and down and all around giggling with their new toys – toys that they wrote about in a letter to an imaginary man named Chris Kringle.

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member (and Sugar staffer!) Nancita from the Su Casa group:
My apartment is pretty small, which means a small tree in the dining room, but I'm trying. I love incorporating my childhood ornaments, along with vintage-looking (but LED) multicolored lights.

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself...
~Norman Wesley Brooks, "Let Every Day Be Christmas," 1976
A Christmas candle is a lovely thing;
It makes no noise at all,
But softly gives itself away.

If money is no object, here are some cool decorations but a little pricey. I prefer to either make my own decorations like the Penguin ornament that I put up or make something out of food so I can eat it later, LOL.

MYSTERY AND MAGIC IN GERMANY
Germans celebrate St-Nicolas at the start of the month of December.On the 31st December, each one puts a small amount of lead in a spoon which they place above a candle and throw away the melted lead in water. This creates a shape! If it is a heart, you'll find love.

My husband and I just bought a house, so we didn't want to spend much on our holiday decor. This is our small $30 Christmas tree from our 1br apt last year...with our $10 star from last year. Silver ornaments from Walmart for about $4 are from last year also, and red ones from Ikea for $1-2 we got last week.
