Last night Anne-Marie Duff attended the 2009 Empire Film Awards and used the occasion to showcase her new haircut. The Scottish beauty has had a heavy fringe chopped in to her golden locks which she wore up with a few loose tendrils. She has changed her hair quite frequently recently switching from soft waves, to sleek and straight to a side fringe.

The Empire Film Awards took place in London last night, with a bevy of British acting talent attending to present and collect trophies. Best newcomer Gemma Arterton posed playfully for the photographers as she arrived, and there were some classic but unique black outfits from Joanna Page, Anne Marie Duff, Hayley Atwell, Helena Bonham Carter,Georgia Groome and Olga Kurylenko — FabUK wants to know who your best-dressed of the evening is!
The gorgeous Cillian Murphy, Gerard Butler and James McAvoy were just a few of the men adding some manjoyment to the occasion, alongside Jim Sturgess and Viggo Mortensen.

- Rihanna does not want to press charges against Chris Brown for the alleged assault that happened last month, according to police. She said she will not testify against him in court, and prosecutors in Los Angeles will be asked to decide if the case is strong enough to proceed without her testimony. — Telegraph

Last night the Empire Film Awards took place in London celebrating some of the biggest names in British cinema. There were plenty of lovely ladies on the red carpet dressed up to the nines for the event including two bond girls, Gemma Arterton and Olga Kurylenko. They were joined by fellow Brit actors Hayley Atwell (who starred in The Duchess) and Joanna Page as well as radio DJ Edith Bowman who brought some colour to the party.

- Slumdog Millionaire was the big winner at the Critics' Choice Awards in LA last night, receiving five awards. Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep tied in the Best Actress category, and Sean Penn won Best Actor for Milk. The Dark Knight, The Reader, and Wall-E were among the other films that won awards.

Following the announcement that Robbie Williams will receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the Brit Awards last October, the rest of the nominees have been announced tonight! Florence & the Machine have three nominations, as does Lady GaGa, JLS, Lily Allen and Pixie Lott. There's also an extra category this year honouring the best Brits performance from the last 30 years — Bros, the Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, Take That, Robbie, Girls Aloud, The Who, Scissor Sisters and Spice Girls are among the many nominees.

This evening the British Fashion Awards took place at Lawrence Hall, in Westminster hosted by journalist Mariella Frostup. The awards supported by the British Fashion Council and sponsored by Swarovski celebrated the biggest names in British fashion from designers to models.
The nominees were revealed back in August but you guys predicted correctly that Luella Bartley was the big winner.
