Alesha Dixon was one of the best dressed on the Brit Awards red carpet last night. She managed to get the right balance between glamour and rock chick, not least with a sequined blazer and star neck tie. The latter, which slightly resembles a ribbon rosette was created by Danish designer Kamilla Antonio.

Call me crazy, but I'd have thought that you guys would be gone gaga over a more outrageous beauty look from last night's Brit Awards. However, 73 per cent of you loved TV personality Fearne Cotton's makeup and thought she looked pretty, polished and classy. As I'm one to typically err on the side of caution myself, I'd agree that Fearne's skin and eyes look particularly beautiful here.

Even though the Brit Awards show finished at 10pm, that certainly wasn't the end of the night for all the celebrities in attendance. Universal's after party was fit to bursting with big stars, from Sophie Dahl, Pixie Geldof, Alexa Chung, Duffy, Mark Owen and Lady GaGa to the host of the ceremony James Corden, who was happy to pose with on-again girlfriend Sheridan Smith. Girls Aloud were in the mood to celebrate as they cuddled up to their partners, with Nadine Coyle and NFL boyfriend Jason Bell hanging out with Davina McCall and her hubby Matthew.

Winged eyeliner isn't just for Amy Winehouse anymore! At last night's 2009 Brit Awards, the most popular makeup looks from the leading ladies were smoky eyes, long, lush lashes and bat-wings. Alexa Chung had the most dramatic liner, Alesha Dixon had the most colourful, whilst Sara Cox and Gabriella Climi opted for a classic, extended line.

The Brit Awards red carpet was inundated by women last night, and plenty of them hit the spot with their outfits. As well as letting my girl FabUK know who you thought was best dressed, I want you to tell me who you thought was worst dressed. While I applaud the risk-taking and bravery of some of these women, I wasn't as wowed by their style as the others who walked the red carpet.

Last night we were treated to some awesome performances at the Brit Awards. U2 opened the show before hosts Kylie Minogue, James Corden and Mathew Horne had us laughing out loud with their outfits and dancing. Girls Aloud brought slinky costumes and pink feathers to the stage to perform the Best British Single "The Promise", while Kings of Leon rocked out, Chris Martin and Coldplay were covered in ticker tape, and Take That descended on a central pod wearing glasses.

Many lovely ladies on the red carpet last night indulged in this season's positive colour palette, or more specifically various shades of blue. From Alexandra's eye catching body con dress to Alexa's sparkly number they brightened up the red carpet and brought a touch of glam rock. Little Boots' Alexander McQueen dress also added an edgy feel to the event whilst Fearne opted for a more tailored ensemble.

There were plenty of great performances at the Brit Awards last night, and the crowd really responded to two collaborations. The Pet Shop Boys celebrated their Outstanding Contribution To Music award by teaming up with Lady GaGa and Brandon Flowers during their mammoth ten minute performance which closed the show. Earlier in the night, Estelle brought "American Boy" to The Ting Tings' "Shut Up and Let Me Go" and "That's Not My Name".

Girls Aloud managed to co-ordinate their outfits for the awards without looking too matchy-matchy. They all went for a pale colour palette, but injected their own take on the look resulting in five very different styles. Sarah, Nadine and Cheryl revealed a bit of leg with short dresses whilst Kimberly and Nicola went for floor sweeping gowns.
