Both of Fox's mega-hit reality competitions, American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, have capable hosts at the helm.
Ryan Seacrest is a pro at steering a live broadcast and keeping the Idol judges panel on track. He sometimes veers into the lame joke territory, but mostly it's good fun.

Yesterday in Los Angleles at the So You Think You Can Dance - Off, host Cat Deeley arrived looking Springy and sprightly in a cream dress with matching cream shoes and beautiful daytime makeup. I love how it's polished and pretty, but definitely not too overdone — although her sex-kitten lipgloss is TDF (to die for!) Notice how her pale, voluminous golden hair also catches the light? Here are three different hairstyles from one of our favourite British models.

The Coachella Festival in California has been the place to be this weeked for star spotting and sun worshipping, as you saw in yesterday's gallery including Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal. Agyness Deyn has been continuing her fun in the sun with her buddies, creating a human pyramid with her man Alex Greenwald and buddies Remi Nicole, Nick Grimshaw and Henry Holland! Star of the new Gossip Girl spinoff Brittany Snow hung out with 90210 offscreen couple Jessica Stroup and Dustin Milligan, while Cat Deeley couldn't hide her smile hanging out with her man Jack Huston.

No need to look further than Josh Jackson and Diane Kruger to see the best dressed couple at last night's annual New Yorkers For Children Spring dinner dance at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in NYC. Whether or not they're ready to fulfill our engagement wishes just yet, the duo is always impeccable. Last night the two were joined by a few good men like Robert Buckley and Josh Hartnett — who has been having quite the busy few weeks.

Cat Deeley looked beautiful in her long white dress at the New Yorkers For Children Spring dinner dance at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in New York last night. Her company wasn't too bad either, while she arrived on the arm of her gorgeous man Jack Huston, there were a couple of other rather handsome men there too. Joshua Jackson attended with Diane Kruger, while Josh Hartnett flew solo to the event, having recovered fully after his recent hospital trip.

Cat Deeley swapped Los Angeles coffee shops for the great outdoors, as she enjoyed a horse ride on some American trails recently. We got to see Cat back on our shores for the Pride of Britain Awards but we'd better get used to her absence, as she's revealed why she's not coming back to the UK in this week's OK!. With gorgeous weather and scenery like that, it's not surprising Cat's content in her new home.

She met up with some friends at a coffee shop where she sipped on a cappuccino and laughed her way through lunch, looking as pretty as ever in the California sunshine. The 2008 Pride Of Britain awards took place last night, with a whole host of celebrities showing up to hear the amazing and touching stories of the nominees and winners. We'll be able to share in the awe-inspiring tales of these Brits when the show airs on television tonight, at 8pm on ITV1. Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton giggled under their Union Jack-emblazoned umbrella as they arrived to present an award, and Cat Deeley and Rachel Stevens were among the other guests using the brollies on the red carpet.

One week before next weekend's Primetime Emmy Awards lots of stars of the small screen came out in LA on Saturday for the presentation of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The show airs Saturday and was hosted by two of my favorites, Sarah Chalke and Neil Patrick Harris, who kept the laughs coming. As expected, Mad Men and John Adams both took home multiple statues — check out all the winners here.
