Pete Doherty Banned From Driving For 12 Months

Pete Doherty has been banned from driving for 12 months and fined £500 at a hearing at Lowestoft Magistrates Court in Suffolk. He admitted he let his manager, Andrew Boyd, use his car without insurance.

Boyd was driving Pete's car when he was involved in an accident in September which left a pedestrian critically injured. Boyd was jailed for 12 months after admitting dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

Pete, who turns 31 today, said he believed Boyd was insured. The singer is currently serving an 18-month driving ban after admitting careless and drink-driving last December. Lawyers confirmed the two bans would run concurrently.

Pete is Charged with Heroin Possession, Ronnie is Cautioned

Pete Doherty has been charged with heroin possession, after he was arrested straight after his court appearance on Monday. A police spokesperson stated that Pete had been charged and bailed to appear in court in January, also confirming: "The 30-year-old man from Wiltshire arrested in Gloucester [on Monday] has been charged with possession of heroin."

Meanwhile, an older generation of rocker - Ronnie Wood - was cautioned yesterday for common assault after an incident on December 2. Apparently an onlooker dialled 999 as an intense argument took place in public between Ronnie and his ex girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova.

Ronnie released a statement saying:

"I am greatly relieved that this matter is resolved... [and will] look forward to 2010 very positively"

Pete Doherty Arrested Moments After Being Fined in Court

Pete Doherty appeared in court yesterday admitting careless and drink driving after a show in Gloucester, and was banned from driving for 18 months and fined £2050. Pete admitted posession of drugs at a previous hearing and has six previous driving offences and 21 previous drug convictions.

When he entered the court at the beginning of the day, an item that police suspected was a drugs wrap fell from his pocket during a security search. Pete was then taken to a nearby station for questioning after he heard he was being fined and banned from driving for his previous offences.

A police spokesperson made this statement:

"A 30-year-old Wiltshire man has been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance. He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.”

Katy, Alesha, GaGa, Amy and More Rock the V Festival Stage!

Superstar singers took to the stages in Chelmsford and Staffordshire for V Festival this weekend. Katy Perry, Lady GaGa and Alesha Dixon impressed on stage in their outlandish outfits. My girl FabUK has the lowdown on all the stylistas, and I've got videos of the big performances - check them out after the jump. Lily Allen took time out from the cricket to sing on stage, and musicians from both sides of the Atlantic entertained the crowds.

Brandon Flowers, Johnny Borrell, Dizzee Rascal, Mike Skinner, McFly, Natalie Imbruglia, Taylor Swift, Pixie Lott, Daniel Merriweather, James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, The Script and The Saturdays all performed. The big disappointment was Oasis were a no-show due to Liam Gallagher's viral laryngitis, but the big surprise was Amy Winehouse's appearance on stage with Pete Doherty and The Specials: you can watch her performance after the jump.
