In the lead up to St Andrew's Day on Monday I'm looking at some of the great music Scotland has given us. British stars including Jude Law, Daniel Racliffe and Keira Knightley have lent their dulcet tones to Valentine Voices, an initiative from the Poetry Archive and Times Online for Valentine's Day. You can take your pick from 40 love poems which can be sent to your loved one's mobile phone for £3.
Other stars reading the love poems include Joanna Lumley, Alan Rickman, Rosamund Pike, Kenneth Branagh, Patrick Stewart and Ronan Keating.

The stars arrived looking glam last night, and they were all there to see who would receive the statuettes at the Primetime Emmy Awards! 30 Rock and Mad Men were both big winners last night, taking the top Comedy Series and Drama Series trophies. Kristin Chenoweth was thrilled and tearful as she took to the podium to accept her Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy award for Pushing Daisies while Toni Collette won Best Actress in a Comedy for her amazing turn in The United States Of Tara.

Well, the Emmys are over, and we have our full list of winners. Were you guys surprised by this year's picks? (Check out all my Emmy polls here.) I thought the show started out pretty unexpectedly when underdogs Kristin Chenoweth and Toni Collete took home trophies, and there were a few other surprises along the way.

A selection of British stars based in Los Angeles attended the champagne launch of BritWeek 2009 at the British Consul General's official residence in LA last night. The English celebrities will have been able to toast St George's Day together, and chat about what they love about Blighty. Lucy Davis revealed that her fitness routine includes British classics like the Jane Fonda workout, saying: "It makes me roar with laughter and that's why it's good".

Jon Stewart called out a few high-profile Republicans last night who are terrified of President Obama. One example: conservative Andrew Breitbart thinks Obama somehow made his kids' school change "St. Patrick's Day" to "Potato Day."

Although the female members of the royal family showed off an array of hats on Christmas Day, all eyes were on Prince William's new facial hair: do you prefer him clean shaven or bearded? They gathered for a service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, and while Autumn Phillips and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie all chose low key headgear, Zara Phillips made a more daring choice with her magenta number: do you love or hate it? As so many of us are feeling the affects of the credit crunch, the Queen has reportedly shelved plans to buy a £7million private jet because it would be a "PR disaster".
