Nicole L. Townsend is a Beauty Contributor, Media Personality, and Makeup Addict who’s obsessed with red lipstick. With more than 10 years of experience devoted to the beauty biz, Nicole began her career as a Model and Makeup Artist in college. Her interest in beauty peaked when she competed for the coveted title of Miss Michigan USA, and walked the runways during NYFW. Later, she turned her passion for both writing and all things beauty-related into a rewarding career as a Freelance Beauty Writer. She frequently appears on WGN Morning News, Windy City Live, and FOX 32 Chicago as a local beauty expert – and produces video content for her own YouTube channel, Townsend Beauty.
Additionally, she has penned for JET Magazine, Today’s Chicago Woman, Time Out Chicago, RedEye and many other publications. She is a member of Social Media Club Chicago, and also spends her time volunteering and mentoring to teenage girls in the Step up Women’s Organization. The Former model and beauty queen has all of the credentials of a full-fledged beauty pro, including a journalism degree from Wayne State University, and a bevy of tried-and-true tips, tricks and trends every gal should know.
