Exclusive! An Insiders' Look at the 2010 InStyle Beauty Awards

On Monday night, one of my dreams came true. I was invited to the 2010 InStyle Beauty Awards in London. Every year, when the big,100 Best Beauty Buys issue comes out, I run to buy it so that I can compare their list to my own personal favourite list of must-have products. Finally being able to be there, in person to attend the event and hob-nob with some of the most prominent figures in the beauty industry was a real treat. Oodles of beauty editors, PR's and brand representatives were in attendance to schmooze with each other and pay homage to some of the year's (and the decade's best buys. The evening couldn't have ended more perfectly with a chat and a cuddle from James Brown (more on that later)!

Editor in Chief, Eilidh MacAskill spoke to the crowd, whilst Claudia Winkleman presented the eleven awards to the products being inducted into the Hall of Fame, and four awards to the big winners of the decade. Canapes and drinks were passed in the lovely ballroom at the Berkeley Hotel and all attendees were given a fabulous goody bag to commemorate the night. The 100 Best of Beauty Buys will be included as a supplement in the March issue of InStyle which you definitely won't want to miss!
