Euphoria’s Alexa Demie Shares the Secret Behind Her Perfect Cat-Eye in This Vogue Tutorial

Euphoria's Alexa Demie just gave us the '90s nude makeup tutorial of our dreams via Vogue, and her cat-eye look has me taking serious notes. Demie, who plays Maddy Perez on the HBO series, is arguably one of the show's most stylish characters — right next to Jules — and her glamorous makeup looks never fail to blow us away. "I think my character in the show is like an elevated version of my high school makeup," Demie said as she walked us through her '90s-inspired routine.

When it comes to beauty products, Demie used a cleansing face wipe on her skin before spraying on Eminence Organics's all-natural hydrating mist. She said she likes to use a little bit of serum and Dior's Backstage Primer before applying her foundation and baking a setting powder under her eyes. Demie also revealed that she's a fan of Nars concealer, Dior's Backstage Eye Palette and Contour Palette, and Pat McGrath's Mothership V Glittery Eye Shadow Palette and Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner.

Inspired by her makeup artist mom and her time growing up in Los Angeles, Demie collaborated heavily with Euphoria's beauty team to create a confident look for her character, which included creating "three extensive mood boards" for Maddy's look that fit right in with her own beauty style. "Growing up, my mom would always kill the '90s look — she would always have her lip liner and nude lip. I've always been drawn to the '90s supermodels and editorials and it's like my signature."
