Backstage Beauty at Antonio Berardi Spring 2014
At London Fashion Week this morning, Antonio Berardi called upon the considerable talents of the Revlon team to create a beauty look for his catwalk show for the fifth season running. Led by Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman, the makeup team created a grown-up look with a focus on bold, matte red lips. Base was flawless, cheeks given only a gentle wash of colour, eyes had a little mauve shadow, a lick of mascara, and a tiny bit of blue liner on the tear line, leaving those lips to really do the talking. Jenny Longworthy complemented this with glossy red nails using the classic Revlon Red Nail Enamel (£4) . . . a far cry from the nail art and nudes we've seen elsewhere. Hair followed the season's big catwalk trend, swept back off the face in a half ponytail with lots of gel for a wet look, though there was more texture to the lengths in this look, with a few micro braids dotted about for added interest.
