Baliage is the art of painting in high- and lowlights into hair to keep it looking natural and less streaky or frosted. I used to do baliage when I dyed my hair a toffee shade, and my colourist would add in caramel and blond highlights in sections at random to keep it seemingly sun-kissed. It looks like 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord, Ashely Tisdale, and model Kathy Ireland all baliage from what I can see from their various appearances in New York and Los Angeles last night. What do you think of this hair technique?

I used to do this; I think it's a nice look, but you have to be very careful to keep it looking natural.
