Calling all dance lovers! I have a treat for you. The Ballet Russes is one of the most famous ballet companies in the history and now it is set to have it's very own fragrance! This September, to coincide with the Victoria and Albert Museum's latest exhibit Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes 1909-1929, perfume guru Roja Dove is launching a special limited-edition scent. The fragrance, dubbed Ballet Russes, is set to go on sale at the museum when the show opens on September 25th. (Mark your diaries ladies!)
Ballet Russes is inspired by the Serge Diaghilev who founded the world-famous company, and uses exotic ingredients which were popular the early 1900's including citrus bergamot, rose de mai, oakmoss and vetiver. Apparently there are only 1000 bottles being made, so it's bound to sell out fast. I suspect it will become a collector's item.
I'm excited about the new fragrance. Roja Dove is known as one of the best noses in the business so I can't wait to sniff what he's come up with. It's unusual to have a fragrance inspired by a ballet, too. Are you a fan of Roja Dove?
