The Coolest Scents Are Inspired by Bad British Weather
When you stare out the window in the coming weeks and bemoan the terrible British weather, remember that the rain is good for one thing: it's inspired some of our favourite perfumers and fashion houses to come up with some gorgeous scents. From this season's new must have, My Burberry, which was inspired by rain-soaked flowers in an English country garden, to old classics like Penhaligon's Bluebell (like a dense, mossy wood after a storm), there are plenty of British scents out there that pay homage to our changeable weather. And if you go further afield, you'll be surprised how many other perfumes are inspired by downpours, from rain turning to ice in the Alps to the spicy warmth of an Indian garden following a monsoon. Don't believe us? Take a look at just a few of our favourite rain-soaked scents (all of which will work in any weather).
