Need further proof that yellow makeup [1] is where it's at? Kindly direct your eyes to the Instagram account of makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes [2], who has managed to make a McDonald's-inspired look super chic. Her aptly titled "#BigMacEnergy" tutorial is going viral for a few reasons (including the fact that its name is reportedly inspired by Pete Davidson's . . . well, you know [3]).

"One of my favourite things to do with makeup is match colours that don't obviously go together," Hughes told POPSUGAR. "I really love putting pink and red together, as blush and eye shadow." She was inspired to pair red with yellow after seeing the makeup artist @urgalsal_ [4] wear that hue blush. Hughes shared her finished look with a publicist friend who dubbed the style "Big Mac Energy," the rest was history.

Hughes, who has worked with Glossier and counts Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as a regular client [7] paired her Danessa Myricks ColorFix Primary Yellow Eye Paint [8] ($18) with a cherry red Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment in Light My Fire [9] ($26). The end result is a surprisingly wearable look that's inspired many more #BigMacEnergy homages. Keep reading to see them all.
