Blake Lively [1] stepped out for the premiere of A Simple Favour [2] in NYC on Monday looking stunning as usual. Ryan Reynolds joined her on the red carpet [3] at the Museum of Modern Art to celebrate the highly anticipated mystery thriller film, which hits theatres Sept. 14. It's hard not to focus entirely on Lively's sharp black suit [4], but if you zoom in on her manicured nails, you'll notice a cool detail that pays homage to her character in the film: a martini glass. (It is used as a symbol throughout the film.)
Celebrity nail artist Elle [5] created the look by using shimmery black nail polish [6] and Swarovski crystals for the martini's "glass" and "stem." This sneaky detail is nothing new for Lively, who usually matches her nails to her outfit [7]. Ahead, see photos of the actress's brilliant mani, and take a look at the exact polish she wore — which only costs $7.
A Closer Look At Lively's Manicure
According to Elle, Lively picked out the colour Rock the Mic by LeChat Nails [8] ($7) a few weeks prior to the event when she was planning her outfit. The glittery black polish matched her Givenchy pantsuit [9] and shimmering blouse.
Elle painted each nail (with the exception of Lively's accent nail, her left ring finger) with LeChat Dare to Wear Base Coat [10] ($7) followed by two coats of Rock the Mic and finished off with LeChat Dare to Wear Top Coat [11] ($7).
For the accent nail, Elle started with a base coat and then applied two coats of LeChat Dare to Wear Black Velvet [12] ($7). She then secured the Swarovski crystals by putting the stones into soaking-wet polish and then letting them dry.

Lively's Full Look
We're not sure if Lively's evening included actual martinis, but we love the way she honoured the movie with her manicure.
