Celebrities Are Embracing Their Inner Flower Child With This New Nail Art Trend

This Summer might as well be 1976 because flower power is back in a big way in the form of floral nail art. Your favourite celebrities are wearing what looks like entire bouquets across their nails, inspiring us to up our manicure game. While some of them, like model Gigi Hadid, only included the trend on a few of her tips, others like Kesha had upward of six flowers on just one nail.

Whether you're partial to roses, sunflowers, or even daisies, there's no shortage of nail art inspiration to ignite your inner hippie.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner showed off this sunflower manicure in mid-July and we couldn't wait to recreate it on ourselves. The minimal nail art on a clear base is part of the negative-space manicure trend and was created at Modern Pamper Salon in North Hollywood, CA. Each nail has either one or two yellow sunflowers on the centre of the nail bed. The nail art is so cute, all of the Jenner-Kardashian sisters have gotten their nails done at this expert salon.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid wore a retro french manicure with a twist in July. The model wore the 2000s style with a clear base, making it a part of the negative space nail art trend, and included cute daisies at the base of her nail on a few fingers. The free-spirited design was created by New York City-based Japanese nail artist Mei Kawajiri whose work has also been featured on the nails of Dua Lipa, Karlie Kloss, and Emily Ratajkowski at the Met Gala.

Kesha

In June, Kesha debuted this multi-coloured manicure painted by LA-based Japanese nail artist Miho Okawara. The artist, who also paints the nails of Ciara, Beyonce, and Mary J. Blige, created these intricate floral designs on each one of Kesha's almond-shaped nails in a different colour scheme.
