Ciara is the latest in a long list of celebrities to try out the superlong hair trend. And she did so at an event for a very good cause: the opening ceremony for the WorldPride 2019 festivities that took place at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn. The singer stepped onto the rainbow carpet with a Wildform-brand wig styled in waist-length, glossy black waves that she topped off with a black beret. Paired with a bright yellow-and-black leopard-print Alex Perry dress, black strappy sandals from Stuart Weitzman, and sultry smoky eyes, Ciara looked fierce in every sense of the word. Or as her makeup artist Yolonda Frederick put it on Instagram, "@Ciara literally destroyed the #rainbow red carpet last night 🔥."

Ciara's extralong, Old Hollywood-style waves came courtesy of wig maker César Deleön Ramirêz, known to many as @cesar4styles on Instagram. Ramirêz is the cofounder of Wildform and has also created wigs for stars like Laverne Cox, Christina Aguilera, and Kylie Jenner. He's the one responsible for many of Ciara's recent killer hairstyles, including her epic curls at the 2019 Met Gala back in May and the platinum-blond pixie she wears in the music video for her song "Set." Lucky for us, Ramirêz was on the rainbow carpet with Ciara and gave us a 360 view of her hairstyle, showing us that while the face-framing pieces were curled from root to tip, the rest of her hair was only waved from her shoulders down — creating a silhouette that was as streamlined as her curve-hugging Alex Perry dress. Keep reading to see the clip, as well as images of Ramirêz's gorgeous creation from every angle.
