Dua Lipa's Blond Alter Ego Is Called Electra — and She's Going to the AMAs
Dua Lipa is back to blond — well, for now at least. The 23-year-old singer previously transformed her hair into a platinum bob — a stark contrast from her usual sleek brown hair — for the music video for her single with Silk City, "Electricity." Now, it appears she's bringing back the look to perform the song during the 2018 American Music Awards.
"Excited for tomorrow as we're bringing electricity back but better," she wrote on Instagram the day of the award show. "We'll just call her electra." It's unclear if Lipa has actually been dyeing her hair back and forth between blond and brown this entire time. . . that would be quite the time-intensive process, if so. It's more likely that the blond hair is actually wig — but an electrifying wig, indeed!
