Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

I'm a Complete Beauty Junkie, and This Is the 1 Product I Always Keep in My Bag

I suffer from dry lips pretty much all year round, and I've tried various products (including nipple balm) to help soothe them. Although I had good results, I still hadn't quite found "the one". That is until my colleague Morgane recommended a classic — Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream (£29) — and now I absolutely cannot live without it.

I'll admit, I was a little hesitant to purchase the skin protectant because it is way more expensive than a tube of Nivea lip balm, and if I'm being totally honest, it didn't look superinteresting (I'd much rather pick up 15 more face masks instead). But when my lips were getting uncomfortably dry, I caved, bought the cream, and without being dramatic, why the hell did it take me so long to try it?!

A combination of petroleum jelly, beta-hydroxy, and vitamin E makes the cream great for skin soothing and repairing. The scent isn't luxurious; in fact, it's quite medicinal, which I didn't love at first but quickly got used to. I now use 8 Hour Cream as a lip balm, brow tamer, wound healer, hand cream, and even eye gloss (my lids were dry after a lash lift and I ended up loving the look!) A tube lasts a long time and is definitely a worthy investment. Now this is the one product I'll carry absolutely everywhere I go.

If I've learnt two things on this journey to discovery it's that cult beauty products are cult for a reason (8 Hour Cream has been around since 1930!) and to always listen to beauty suggestions from my colleagues because they are, without fail, the best!
