If you can believe it, Rihanna [1] found a way to make her foundation range even more inclusive. The newest addition to the Fenty Beauty [2] family is the Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation (£27, launching at Boots and Harvey Nichols on August 15), which is formulated for those with normal to dry skin types and addresses the requests for a less matte and more moisturising formula.

Fenty Beauty [3] promises that its new foundation will hydrate the skin while also feeling as "light as air." We asked nine POPSUGAR editors with different skin types and skin tones to put that claim to the test, read on to see their thoughts.

"I have a mahogany skin tone with red undertones, and I have been a faithful Fenty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Foundation user. Though I have oily skin and the OG matte foundation works perfectly for me, I was interested in seeing if the Pro Filt'r Hydrating Foundation could be a potential option for someone with my skin type."

"It left me with a dewy glow that didn't look too shiny, and proved long-wearing in hot temperatures. I think it's safe to say that this foundation is for us oily skin folks, as well. I will definitely add it to my makeup collection in the Winter months, when my skin is at its driest." — Sarai Thompson, assistant editor, Makeup.com and Skincare.com

"My skin is medium brown with yellow undertones. When I first applied the creamy foundation, it felt hydrating on my oily skin. I also noticed that it was not as matte as I initially thought it would be."

"Two hours after first applying it, my t-zone looked a little too shiny and I found that the makeup began to melt. I'll opt for this foundation for times that I'm looking for a more dewy look." — Rachael Edwards, coordinator, Social Media

"I have a medium-dark skin tone with olive and red undertones, and I've been waiting for Fenty Beauty to release a foundation for my dry skin. I'm so happy the brand finally did.

"When I first tried the 390 shade, I wasn't completely sold on it because it looked too red against the back of my hand. Once I applied it to my face, it blended in so well. One of my coworkers couldn't even tell that I had foundation on."

"I usually opt for tinted moisturisers because of how lightweight they are, but this foundation feels just like the thin formulas I typically use. It doesn't feel like it's moving around, which I really appreciate in this New York City humidity." — Tamara Pridgett, assistant editor, Fitness

"Hand to God, I'm in love with this foundation. I've been having a hard time with my skin since I just got back from vacation. I'm tanner than ever and my skin is also drier than it has ever been in my life."

"I have combination skin. The foundation went on so smoothly that I barely felt it on my face. It honestly felt like a moisturiser that I wouldn't have trouble keeping on all day. I aimed to have medium coverage as I applied the lightweight cream, and it proved perfect for the natural look that I prefer. Also, with the highest of blessings, it didn't make me extra greasy in my t-zone. Rihanna [4] has really done it again." — Mekishana Pierre, assistant editor, Entertainment

"I've been all about having dewy, glowing skin this Summer, but there's a fine line between having that shiny radiance versus looking greasy. This is one of the very few medium to full coverage foundations that achieves my idea of the ideal no-makeup makeup look."

"The creamy formula swept onto my skin and melted in like a lightweight, hydrating lotion. It took a while to set, but once it did, it left my cheeks feeling soft and slightly slick (you know, the way it would with a typical moisturiser), with a subtle shine." — Jesa Marie Calaor, assistant editor, Beauty

"I have tan skin with olive undertones. This foundation, which was incredibly thin and smooth, felt like a moisturiser as I rubbed it into my face. It was also just as hydrating as one, which is ideal for my combination skin during the sweaty Summer months!"

"While I know that Rihanna [5] never disappoints with her Fenty Beauty products, I was pleasantly surprised with the results and its sweet and subtle smell. I love everything about it." — Perri Konecki, associate editor, Trending and Viral Features

"I have tan skin with yellow undertones, and my initial reaction to the new, hydrating foundation was that a little went a very long way. One pump was enough to cover my entire face, melting beautifully into my face with a very natural, skin-like finish."

"As someone who normally gravitates towards BB creams and skin tints, I still prefer a foundation with less coverage. I'll probably only use Fenty Beauty's new foundation for special occasions like times I would need my makeup to last all night long." — Genesis Rivas, assistant editor, Makeup.com and Skincare.com

"My skin tone is fair with yellow undertones and I have slightly oily skin. When I pick out a foundation, I make sure that it isn't too thick, offers medium to full coverage, and doesn't make my skin oilier than it is. To be honest, with how picky I am about my base makeup, I was a little hesitant to try out this new foundation."

"I put a dime size amount onto a Beautyblender and blended it in with concealer. I was so impressed by how well it sank into my skin. It had the coverage I wanted without looking cakey or too thick. I loved how it evened out my skin tone but didn't fully cover my freckles so it still made my makeup look natural. I would definitely recommend Fenty Beauty's new foundation, and if you haven't tried the concealer, that's a must too!" — Lauren Harano, editorial coordinator, Growth and Strategic Features

"While the original Fenty Beauty foundation formula is one of my go-to favourites for my oily complexion, the new hydrating version did not suit my skin type at all. While the finish was natural-looking and dewy, the oils on my face broke up the formula and it became patchy throughout the day, and accentuated any texture on my face. I'll be returning to the OG foundation tomorrow, which controls my shine much better." – Sarah Siegel, assistant editor, Beauty
