Yet, on Wednesday, the 39-year-old actor released a video on his YouTube channel and ceremoniously ditched his famous beard for a good cause.

Momoa made a dramatic change to his physical appearance while talking about the benefits of recycling, a lasting environmental change. He emphasised the importance of using "infinitely recyclable" aluminium instead of plastic, in order to leave a better world for his own kids, others' kids, and the world.
